
Recently, Beijing Union University successfully completed the orientation of 2025 international students in China. More than 80 freshmen from 8 countries, including the United States, Russia, Spain, Montenegro, Thailand, South Korea, Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia, crossed the mountains and seas to start their study journey at Beijing Union University.
In order to ensure the smooth and unimpeded orientation work, the school carefully planned and made detailed arrangements, and adopted the strategy of reporting in different periods and batches. With the enthusiastic assistance of Chinese and foreign student volunteers, the freshmen successfully completed a series of processes such as information verification, dormitory allocation, fee payment, student status registration and campus card collection. Check-in to the dormitory In order to allow students to familiarize themselves with the campus and surrounding daily life as soon as possible, the school has also prepared an international student handbook, and arranged international student volunteers to assist freshmen in handling Chinese phone cards, insurance and other matters, so as to fully meet the actual needs of international students who have just arrived, so that they can feel the international and warm campus atmosphere of the United Nations University when they first arrive in Beijing.
On September 12, the freshmen and Chinese students attended the opening ceremony of the school and listened to the earnest messages of the school leaders. Russian freshman Wu Anrui participated in the badge wearing ceremony on behalf of all international students in China; Teacher Li Xiaodong of the School Language Teaching Center accepted the letter of appointment from the school leaders as a representative of the international student class teacher. Chinese and foreign teachers and students work together to open a new chapter in studying in China.
On the afternoon of the same day, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office organized all freshmen studying in China to carry out preschool education and the first lesson of school, covering all aspects of the study and life of international students in China, such as curriculum requirements, dormitory management, personal safety, laws and regulations, school rules and discipline, and safety education, so as to further strengthen the legal and safety awareness of international students and cherish the good time of studying in China.
In addition, the school will also organize international students in China to carry out a variety of campus activities such as academic guidance, cultural experience, and cultural and sports clubs. Create a warm and harmonious learning and living atmosphere for freshmen, so that they can learn professional knowledge, feel Chinese culture, and gain friendship and happiness in the "Study Abroad University".
