The autumn air is crisp, and the layers of forests are dyed. On November 2nd, our school organized a unique cultural exchange activity, where international students from all over the world and our international student volunteers gathered together to climb the world-famous Badaling Great Wall. This event is not only a physical journey, but also a profound cultural exchange journey.
The team started climbing from the first floor of the north, passed through the beacon towers such as the fourth floor of the north, and finally arrived at the eighth floor of the north. The pavement of the Great Wall is paved with green bricks, and the height and width of the steps are different. In the gentle slope area, the students walked side by side and discussed the structure and function of the city wall, stack mouth and shooting hole. When encountering steep steps, everyone naturally slowed down, reached out to help, reminded the steps, and took care of each other. Throughout the process, the students shared interesting facts about their respective countries, discussed their different life and learning experiences, and laughter and sweat were intertwined. At this time, the Great Wall is not only an ancient building, but also a link connecting young hearts, witnessing international friendship taking root step by step.
International student Noor Usman said that the Great Wall is not only a "symbol of China", but also a shock that can "see a thousand years at a glance": standing on the masonry you can feel history coming to your face, and at the same time marvel at the hand of such a huge project. International student RAHMAN SHAHZAD said that the Great Wall made them instantly understand why "China" has emphasized unity and cooperation since ancient times: without this collective will, it cannot build a thousand-mile defense line across mountains and rivers.
Through this cultural exchange activity, international students not only felt the history of the Great Wall, but also closely connected our students from all over the world, and built a bridge of international friendship as strong and long as the Great Wall in their hearts. In the future, the School of International Education will continue to use traditional Chinese culture as a bridge to help students from all over the world understand and fall in love with China in the unity of knowledge and action, and become disseminators and friendly messengers of Chinese culture.
