On the afternoon of November 7, 2025, the sixth sharing report of the Beijing Central Axis Cultural Perception National Conditions Education Project for International Students, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and undertaken by the Capital Institute of Physical Education, was successfully held at the Capital Institute of Physical Education.
Su Rufeng, Dean of the School of International Education of Capital Institute of Physical Education, Xia Yan, Vice Dean, Professor Lu Zhihai of the School of Leisure and Social Sports, all teachers of the International Student Work Management Department, and many international students from various universities in Beijing who participated in the first five phases of the activities gathered together to review the project process, share cultural insights, and look forward to future plans.
At the beginning of the event, a wonderful short video led everyone to relive the unforgettable moments of the first five sessions of the event, from the first visit in spring to the in-depth perception of autumn, one by one recording the footprints and performance of international students in this national event. Subsequently, Dean Su Rufeng delivered a speech, congratulating the successful development of the project, expressing appreciation for the active participation of international students, and sending a message to everyone to continue to be a friendly envoy of cultural exchanges. Immediately afterwards, the event entered the tense and interesting "Central Axis Fun Knowledge Quiz" session.
International students answered questions online by scanning the QR code on their mobile phones to test their learning results in the limited-time challenge, and the atmosphere was warm and cheers came one after another. After fierce competition in 20 questions, the ten students finally stood out with their in-depth understanding of the culture of the central axis and won the championship, runner-up, third place and excellence award. Dean Su Rufeng and Vice Dean Xia Yan presented awards to the winning students and took a group photo. In the student sharing session, five international student representatives, including Zheng Jukang (Beijing Sport University), Ma Xiaolong (Beijing Institute of Printing), Suzanna (Capital Institute of Physical Education), Xiao Yang (Minzu University of China), and Han Baoli (Central University of Finance and Economics), took the stage in turn, combined with their own experience of participating in the project, and shared their deep insights on the national conditions of international students with sincere emotions and unique perspectives.
From the surprise of exploring foreign cultures to the recognition after in-depth understanding, their sharing vividly demonstrated the growth and gains of international students in cultural adaptation, observation and thinking, and emotional connection, fully demonstrating the remarkable effectiveness of the program in promoting cultural understanding among international students and building bridges of friendship between China and foreign countries. After the sharing, Professor Lu Zhihai, the head coach of the project, presented souvenirs to the five student representatives.
At the end of the report meeting, Vice President Xia Yan officially released the 2026 "Walking China, Perceiving Beijing Colors" project for international students in China to understand China. An engaging promotional video was played, indicating that a new round of wonderful cultural exploration was about to begin, arousing widespread expectations from the teachers and students present. After the report meeting, the international students also visited the History Museum of the Capital Institute of Physical Education and the Olympic Education Museum with great interest to learn more about the cultural heritage and Olympic spirit of the school. In 2026, "Walking in China, Perceiving Beijing Lottery - International Students in China to Understand China Project" will be officially launched.
