On September 16, the School of International Education of Beijing Technology and Business University successfully held the 2025 Autumn Semester Orientation activity for international students in China at the Liangxiang Campus. Heads of the school's security office, graduate school, public affairs office, laboratory management office and other functional departments, as well as all freshmen of the class of 2025 in China, participated. On behalf of the School of International Education, Vice Dean Zheng Die extended a warm welcome to the freshmen, and systematically introduced the overall situation of Beijing Industry and Commerce from the aspects of the school's history, discipline advantages, talent training, scientific research, internationalization strategy, educational characteristics of international students in China, campus life, etc., focusing on interpreting the support service system of the School of International Education for international students, and encouraging the freshmen to "know China, friendship China, and love China" and be a bridge for mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations. In the safety education session, Wang Yi, deputy director of the Security Department, gave detailed tips on preventing telecommunications fraud, dormitory fire protection, transportation, and emergency handling based on real cases on the topic of "Safe Study Abroad"; The Graduate School Training Office has made whole-process work tips on graduate student status management, training programs, academic standards, and the use of the comprehensive graduate management system. The laboratory management department is responsible for the emergency response process of the laboratory's basic safety regulations, personal protection requirements, precautions, and emergencies such as fire and leakage. Ms. Feng Yu'e from the Student Apartment Service Center of the Public Affairs Office gave a detailed explanation on the check-in process, payment method, and daily management regulations of the dormitory.
Wei Xinlei, a staff member of the School of International Education, then made a "one map" interpretation of foreign-related laws and regulations, school rules and regulations, visa and residence permit processing, annual scholarship evaluation process, internship apostille, medical insurance claims, off-campus accommodation registration and other matters, which was clear and detailed. In order to accurately provide mental health support for freshmen, the School of International Education invited the school's psychological quality education center to carry out a questionnaire on "cross-cultural adaptation and mental health", and will provide point-to-point counseling or information prompts according to the situation.
After all teachers and students took a group photo in front of the school history museum, Vice Dean Song Yu led the volunteer club to lead the international students to visit the school history museum of the main campus of Liangxiang. The international students stopped and wandered in the text, pictures, sound and light images of the school's history, looked back affectionately on the heavy accumulation of the school in the 75 years since its founding, and perceived the many achievements of Beijing Industry and Industry in talent training, scientific research, social services, international exchanges and cultural inheritance.
