International students from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics participated in high-level international student exchange activities in the Yangtze River Delta region

From October 24th to 26th, hosted by the China Scholarship Council and organized by the Education Management Research Committee of the Jiangsu Society of Higher Education and Jiangsu University, the 2025 "Perception of China" 2nd Jiangsu Universities and the First Yangtze River Delta University Graduate Exchange Event was successfully held in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province.

Outstanding international students and teacher representatives from many universities across the country gathered at Jiangsu University to participate in this international academic conference with the theme of "Academic Exploration and Mutual Learning among Civilizations". This event adopts the "main venue + discipline exchange" model, setting up parallel sub-venues around the three major fields of science, engineering and agriculture, biomedicine, culture, management, economics and law, focusing on cutting-edge topics and research hotspots in various disciplines to carry out in-depth discussions, and simultaneously arranging keynote reports, academic poster displays, excellent paper exchanges and other links.

Berkay Sayir (Turkey) and Saw Thet Su Win (Myanmar), doctoral students of the School of Law of our university, were shortlisted for the exchange of culture, management, economics and law with their high-quality academic research results. During the event, the two systematically presented new progress and achievements in their respective research fields in the form of academic reports and salons, and conducted in-depth discussions with international students in the same field on topics such as academic frontier trends and research method innovation. Berkay Sayir's paper entitled "Protection of Foreign Well-Known Trademark: A Comparison Between Turkey and China" won the second prize of the Excellent Paper Award, and Saw Thet Su Win's "Contrasting FDI Models: China's Robust Foreign" won the second prize Investment National Security Review versus Myanmar's Weak Safeguards against Foreign Dominance" won the third prize of excellent paper.

During the two-day event, the students demonstrated solid professionalism and research ability in the academic exchange session. This event not only provides a high-quality stage for international students to display their research results and connect with the academic frontier, but also becomes a practical carrier for the university to promote the construction of the academic ecology of international students with the "International Young Scholars Forum" as the starting point.
