Recently, Hohai University welcomed more than 200 new international students in the class of 2025, from nearly 50 countries. International students from all over the world gathered in the rivers and seas with the desire to learn and start a new journey of further study.
This year's orientation registration was held at Xikang Road Campus, Jiangning Campus and Changzhou Campus. In order to allow freshmen to feel the warmth of home when they first enter the river and sea, the School of International Education has joined hands with on-campus departments, medical care, off-campus banks, communications and other units to launch all-round orientation preparations, and compile and distribute handbooks for foreign students, integrating and centralizing the core procedures of registration, insurance, visa processing, bank mobile account opening and other links, so as to achieve "one-stop" services and ensure that the links are smooth, convenient and in place. At the orientation site, a volunteer team composed of more than 10 Chinese and foreign students wore uniform costumes and shuttled through various service points to provide intimate services such as route guidance, formality answers, and language translation for freshmen, so as to convey the warmth of the river and sea to every international student.
At the same time, in order to help international students quickly integrate into campus life, the School of International Education cooperates with the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate School, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Foreign Languages, the school hospital and other school departments and the exit and entry management agencies of the public security organs to carry out entrance education, so that freshmen can systematically understand the precautions for studying and living in China.
