
On June 20, the "Jiangnan University First Silk Road International Students Thinking Forum and Silk Road Project Internship Base Signing Ceremony", hosted by the Business School of Jiangnan University and jointly supported by the International Exchange Office and Graduate Work Department of Jiangnan University, Wuxi High-tech Zone Talent Group Co., Ltd., Wuxi E-commerce Association and other units, was held in the 116th Oriental Hall of the Business School. With the theme of "Silk Road Connecting Hearts and Wisdom in Jiangnan", the event focused on educational cooperation and the integration of industry and education under the "Belt and Road" initiative, and built a new platform for joint talent training between schools and enterprises through four major sections: theme sharing of Silk Road international students, signing of internship bases, donation of quality activity funds, and economic and cultural dialogue.

The event was presided over by Tang Jie, Director of the Office of the MBA/MEM Education Center of Jiangnan University.
In his speech, Ni Ye briefly reviewed the construction of the Silk Road project of Jiangnan University, saying that Jiangnan University adheres to the educational concept of "promoting the 'Belt and Road' and deepening the integration of industry and education", based on the development and innovation practice of countries and regions along the "Belt and Road", serving Chinese enterprises and host country enterprises in countries along the "Belt and Road", and cultivating high-quality business administration talents with global vision, Chinese experience, innovative spirit and entrepreneurial ability. She expressed the hope that the holding of the theme forum and the signing of the internship base can promote the deep integration of the education chain, talent chain, industrial chain and innovation chain of Jiangnan University's international education, and build a multi-dimensional and three-dimensional exchange and cooperation ecology for universities and enterprises, governments and associations. Wang Lei signed the "Silk Road Project Teaching and Practice Base" agreement with 6 enterprises, including Jiangsu Jialida International Logistics Co., Ltd., Yadea Group, Zoomlion Group Wuxi Stainless Steel Electronic Trading Center Co., Ltd., Wuxi Keruiman Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Wuxi Yuanqing Tianmu Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and Jiangyin COSCO Shipping Logistics Co., Ltd. Chen Zhou and Wang Yin respectively unveiled the "Teaching Practice Base" with enterprise representatives. The signing and co-construction of the internship base will provide practical positions in cross-border e-commerce, international logistics, project operation and other management fields for international students in the Silk Road project, and help them transform their academic abilities into industrial momentum. In the theme forum session for international students, Xu Qiangli and Wang Junyi, 2024 international students from the Silk Road Project from Afghanistan, presented the geographical features of Afghanistan and analyzed the economic and trade potential of Afghanistan as a "Belt and Road" hub in Eurasia. Sasha, a 2024 international student from the Silk Road Project from Egypt, gave a keynote speech titled "In-depth Analysis of the Egyptian Consumer Market: Opportunities, Challenges and Success Strategies", revealing new opportunities in the Egyptian consumer market based on localized insights, and using detailed data and case studies to provide a vivid reference for regional market decision-making for the enterprises present.
In the "Face-to-Face with Chinese Enterprises and International Students" session, representatives of enterprises and associations from the fields of manufacturing, service industry, information technology, cross-border e-commerce and other fields had a dialogue with international students on topics such as Chinese enterprises going global, international talent service policies, entrepreneurial environment, market and industrial expansion, etc. Representatives of participating enterprises and international students actively exchanged views and expressed their expectation that the two sides can start internship and project cooperation as soon as possible.
In his summary, Liu Changqing affirmed the practical value of the theme sharing of the three Silk Road international students, welcomed and thanked the school-enterprise cooperation to build an internship base, and the enterprise donated funds to set up a quality activity fund, and briefly elaborated on the future direction of school-enterprise collaborative service "Belt and Road" construction.
Jiangnan University actively responds to the national "Belt and Road" initiative, gives full play to the school's professional advantages and local industrial advantages, and has established the "Silk Road" Business Administration (MBA) School-Enterprise Joint High-level Talent Training Program since 2020. The program has been approved by the Ministry of Education for five consecutive years as a "Silk Road" Chinese government scholarship program, and has recruited 67 international students from Afghanistan, Egypt, Yemen, Pakistan, Vietnam and other countries along the "Belt and Road" to study for MBA degrees. The business school actively organizes the "Silk Road International Students Thinking Forum", hoping to enhance the core value of joint training between schools and enterprises, build a communication platform between enterprises, schools and international students, and discuss development, sign agreements, and seek a common future. In the future, the business school will continue to build the Silk Road International Students Thinking Conference into an international exchange platform that brings together diverse voices, links educational resources and industrial resources, promotes the dual track of educational cooperation and economic and trade exchanges of the Silk Road project, and continuously enhances the brand influence of "Study in Jiangnan".
