On the afternoon of October 14, the work symposium of Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University was held in the east hall of the I-word hall. President Li Luming presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Yang Bin, deputy director of the school affairs committee, attended the meeting. Members of the leadership team, members of the Academic Advisory Committee, members of the Academic Steering Committee, representatives of lecturers, and representatives of industry mentors attended the meeting to review the achievements of Schwarzman College in the past ten years and plan a blueprint for high-quality development in the future.
At the meeting, Xue Lan, president of Schwarzman College, reviewed the remarkable achievements of the college since its establishment, and shared his thoughts on keeping in mind the mission positioning and promoting higher quality development under the new situation. The participants made suggestions for the future high-quality development of the college. After listening carefully to the relevant reports and exchange speeches, Li Luming affirmed the achievements of Schwarzman College in the past ten years. He said that it is necessary to deeply understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important congratulatory letter to Schwarzman College, aim at its own positioning, maintain the characteristics of education, further study and explore specific measures to promote high-quality development, and contribute more to helping the school move towards the forefront of world-class universities and promote the high-level opening up of education.
Schwarzman College was officially established in October 2015 and held its first opening ceremony on September 10, 2016, and has enrolled 1,350 young scholars from 100 countries and regions for ten sessions so far.
