On March 26, 2026, the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University (AAFDT) held its 2026 Spring Career and Internship Fair at the Area B Art Museum. This year’s fair evolved beyond traditional recruitment, focusing on national innovation policies, emerging market trends, and the diverse developmental needs of students. By integrating “Skill Enhancement, Policy Guidance, and Resource Expansion,” the academy built a comprehensive support platform that attracted numerous government departments, industry leaders, and students.
The event featured 5 district-level government departments from Beijing and 66 prestigious employers, ranging from state-owned enterprises and high-tech firms to higher education institutions, research institutes, and foreign-invested companies. Leadership from Tsinghua University, including Party Secretary Qin Chuan, Dean Wu Qiong, and Chen Chaoqun, Director of the Career Development Center, attended the fair to engage with recruiters and students.
PART 01: Three Innovative Zones for Career Empowerment
This year’s fair introduced three specialized sections to provide precision support for students:
- Regional Talent Attraction Zone: In an institutional first, departments from Haidian, Changping, Huairou, Pinggu, and Mentougou districts presented policies regarding talent introduction, innovation support, and housing subsidies (Talent Apartments), bridging the gap between policy and students.
- Innovation & Entrepreneurship Zone: This zone integrated platforms like the Tsinghua “Design+” Innovation Contest and local incubators. It encouraged students to explore individual entrepreneurship models tailored to their artistic expertise.
- Career Empowerment Zone: Students received one-on-one resume and portfolio critiques. Alumni from top tech firms like Honor and instructors from the Career Association provided professional guidance to boost student competitiveness.
PART 02: Collaborative Resources and Expert Insights
The fair successfully linked talent policy, industrial incubation, and job-seeking skills.
- Government Perspective: A representative from a local Human Resources Bureau noted: “The ‘one-stop’ policy consultation here directly solves the ‘last mile’ problem for students looking to settle in Beijing.”
- Employer Perspective: A design firm HR manager remarked: “Tsinghua students consistently show high levels of maturity in their portfolios. We are particularly seeking multi-talented, composite individuals this year.”
- Student Perspective: “The fair offered a wealth of resources from giants like Huawei, Honor, and Alibaba Cloud,” shared a graduating master’s student. “It’s not just about getting an offer; it’s about understanding the future direction of the industry.”
PART 03: A Sustainable Ecosystem for Long-term Growth
The Academy of Arts & Design views precision employment as the “last mile” of talent cultivation. By integrating alumni networks and university resources, the academy has formed a year-round support system.
Looking forward, Tsinghua University will continue to deepen university-enterprise synergy, helping every student transition from the campus to the professional world with confidence. The goal is to build a systematic, flexible, and sustainable career support system that aligns with industry trends and artistic excellence.
