Beihang University International Students Proactively Strategizing for Future Career Success

To Deepen University-Enterprise Synergistic Education and Facilitate High-Quality Student Employment: Beihang University Conducts Special “Visit Enterprises to Expand Jobs” Action in Shanghai

To deepen university-enterprise synergistic education and help students achieve high-quality employment, from March 30 to 31, Ji Yipeng, Director of the Student Center at Beihang University, organized and led a team to Shanghai to carry out a special “Visit Enterprises to Expand Jobs” action. The team successively visited the New Development Bank (NDB) and Spring Airlines Co., Ltd., engaging in in-depth docking regarding matters such as internships, employment, and talent cultivation. Liu Xinxiao, an international student management teacher from the International School, and four international student representatives participated in this activity.

On March 30, the delegation of teachers and students visited the headquarters of the New Development Bank. As a multilateral development bank jointly established by the BRICS countries, the NDB has nearly 300 employees from BRICS member states, forming a professional international organization management system.

During the symposium and exchange, the heads of the bank’s Human Resources Department and Research and Development Department introduced the bank’s mission and vision, talent recruitment mechanisms, and the importance placed on multicultural backgrounds and global perspectives. In response to the bank’s demand for talent, Liu Xinxiao from the International School shared the “Study at Beihang” brand and the characteristics of our university’s international student cultivation, introducing specific measures of the school in terms of talent cultivation and career development guidance under a multicultural background. International student representatives from countries such as Russia and Bangladesh engaged in in-depth exchanges with the bank regarding topics such as internship applications and job competency.

On March 31, the delegation of teachers and students visited the headquarters of Spring Airlines, touring the corporate culture exhibition hall and the operations control center to learn about the company’s development history and international route layout.

The person in charge of Spring Airlines stated that with the expansion of the international route network, there is a strong demand for compound talents who possess multilingual abilities, cross-cultural communication literacy, and an aviation background. Our university’s international student representatives, combining their own majors and cultural backgrounds, interacted enthusiastically with the enterprise regarding topics such as overseas market expansion and localized talent recruitment. This activity allowed teachers and students to accurately grasp the latest demands for international talent from international organizations and the civil aviation industry, providing strong support for the school to optimize international student cultivation and management plans, expand internship and practice platforms, and establish long-term cooperation mechanisms. In the future, the International School will continue to expand high-quality internationalized practice platforms to help international students grow into outstanding talents with international competitiveness.
