From September 15 to 21, 2025, 64 teachers and students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore visited our school to start a 7-day immersive study visit and exchange trip. The event was planned by the School of International Exchange of Shenzhen University, and strived to allow participating teachers and students to intuitively experience Shenzhen's development achievements and the academic style of Shenzhen University during the week-long visit.
On the morning of September 16, the immersive study visit and exchange program was officially launched in the original lecture hall. At the opening ceremony, Pan Yanchun, Dean of the School of International Exchange of Shenzhen University, first extended a warm welcome to all the teachers and students of the visiting group of Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore, and expressed his expectations for this exchange activity, hoping that everyone would actively communicate, embrace differences, gain knowledge, friendship and growth in teamwork and thinking collision, and truly experience the meaning of "reading thousands of books and traveling thousands of miles". Subsequently, Dr. Ding Wanling from the School of Management of Shenzhen University gave a lecture on "General China", introducing the development of China's science and technology and society.

During the week-long visit, the students listened to a number of professional and cutting-edge academic reports during the expert lecture session, broadening the boundaries of knowledge; The cultural experience and exchange activities are even more exciting, the Chinese painting experience allows Singaporean students to appreciate the unique charm of traditional Chinese painting art, the pen and ink flow with a thousand-year-old cultural heritage, in the martial arts experience, every move shows the rigidity and softness of Chinese martial arts, and the students personally feel the power of traditional Chinese culture. The student forum with students from the School of Information Engineering of Shenzhen University has built a bridge of communication between the two sides in the professional field, and promoted the collision and exchange of academic ideas.
The corporate visit itinerary was also impressive. The students walked into the Chinese porcelain Yongfengyuan and felt the perfect integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation; visited Mindray Medical and Dashi Intelligent to gain an in-depth understanding of cutting-edge technologies and innovation achievements in medical technology, intelligent buildings and other fields; visit the big data laboratory of Canghai Campus of Shenzhen University to experience the strength and charm of scientific research in universities; The electronics market in Huaqiangbei allowed students to see Shenzhen's strong scientific and technological innovation vitality and business atmosphere.
The city exploration activity led the students to understand Shenzhen in an all-round way. In Lianhuashan Park, students overlook the whole city and feel the ecological beauty of Shenzhen; Walking through the Shenzhen Museum, the historical context is clearly presented in the exhibits, giving everyone a deeper understanding of the city's development; The Pearl River Exhibition Hall vividly displayed Shenzhen's great achievements since its reform and opening up, and the students were moved by Shenzhen's innovative spirit of daring to try.

Vice Dean Zheng Jie of the School of International Exchange of Shenzhen University and the team leader from Singapore presented the camp certificates to the students who participated in the exchange program, recognizing their positive performance and outstanding achievements during the exchange. The students said that through this project, they not only gained knowledge and skills, but also made friends from foreign countries and deeply felt the charm of different cultures.
