Tianjin University of Technology held the "Big Hands Holding Small Hands" International Food and Culture Festival

On October 18, the second "Big Hands Holding Small Hands" International Food and Culture Festival of Tianjin University of Technology was successfully held. Wang Tie, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president, attended the event and delivered a speech. Nearly 100 responsible comrades from the International Student Office, the School of Continuing Education, the Department of Physical Education and other relevant responsible comrades, Chinese and foreign students, teacher representatives from various departments and their children attended the event. In the theatrical performance, Chinese and foreign students took the stage together, including international students and children singing affectionately, as well as Chinese martial arts and wonderful boxing performances showing masculinity. Different cultures collided passionately on the stage and won bursts of applause. Through a fast-paced and childlike allegro performance, the children showed the vitality and intergenerational inheritance of China's excellent traditional culture.

Wang Tie said in his speech that this event is of great significance to enriching the cultural life of the campus and enhancing the understanding and friendship between Chinese and foreign teachers and students, and wished the event a complete success.

In the international food booth and intangible cultural heritage experience area, international students from 8 countries including Russia, Tajikistan, Peru and Malaysia prepared their own unique hometown delicacies, so that teachers, students and children could taste the "taste of the world" without leaving school. Intangible cultural heritage experience projects such as Peking Opera face painting, elegant and exquisite lacquer fan making, and ingenious bamboo wind chimes full of Chinese charm have also attracted a large number of children to participate. The event also set up a photo check-in area, where the on-site personnel immersed themselves in the unique charm and exotic customs of China's excellent traditional culture.

Hosted by the International Student Office and the School of Continuing Education of Tianjin University of Technology and co-organized by the Department of Physical Education, the event aims to serve the children of the majority of faculty and staff, showcase the demeanor of international students of our university, build a cross-cultural exchange platform, and promote the in-depth interaction and integration of Chinese and foreign cultures. As an important part of the school's "doing practical things for teachers and students", this activity not only brought a happy parent-child time to the families of faculty and staff, but also used food as a medium and culture as a bridge, effectively expanding the "circle of friends" of international exchanges, and helping to build an open, inclusive, harmonious and symbiotic campus atmosphere.
