
From September 15th to 18th, under the guidance of the All-China Youth Federation, the "2025 Overseas Chinese Youth Development Conference and Chinese Generation Z Cultural Exchange Camp" was held in Haikou, Hainan, co-sponsored by the Secretariat of the All-China Youth Federation, the China Youth Science and Technology Workers Association, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Hainan Provincial People's Government, and the Hainan Provincial Youth Federation. Cai Xinyi, a Malaysian master's student majoring in painting at the China Academy of Art, attended the conference as a representative of the China Academy of Art and performed prominently at the conference. His paintings were collected by the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, and he was also awarded the title of "Excellent Camper" and spoke at the closing session as the only representative.
The opening ceremony The conference was themed "Digital Intelligence Youth: A New Model of AI-Driven Youth Innovation and Development", attracting nearly 400 overseas Chinese youth representatives from more than 30 countries and regions such as the United States, Argentina, Italy, Bulgaria, Brazil, Malaysia, and Vietnam.
Cai Xinyi gave a keynote speech As a fifth-generation overseas Chinese, Cai Xinyi said that being able to return to China to receive systematic art education is not only an important opportunity for personal growth, but also a responsibility to carry history and the future. She believes that this conference brings together young elites from all over the world, gathers wisdom and strength, and vividly demonstrates the good style of a new generation of Chinese youth working together on the world stage. She thanked the conference for building a cross-border and connecting China and foreign exchange platforms for young people from all over the world, and promoting new sparks in mutual learning among different civilizations. Facing the future, Cai Xinyi said that she will use art as a bridge and ideas as a link, actively grasp the historical opportunities brought by the "digital intelligence era", closely integrate personal artistic pursuits with global development, help art play a more far-reaching positive role in cross-cultural dialogue, and contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Xu Xiao, President of the All-China Youth Federation, pointed out in his speech that the Overseas Chinese Youth Development Conference has gradually built a cross-regional youth exchange network and effectively promoted practical cooperation in multiple fields. He encouraged the majority of overseas Chinese youth to carry forward the patriotic spirit, integrate their personal ideals into the great cause of national rejuvenation, give full play to the unique advantages of connecting China and foreign countries, actively show the real, three-dimensional and comprehensive image of China, and inject youthful energy into promoting Sino-foreign friendship and global development.
During the conference, the participants also deeply experienced Hainan's unique overseas Chinese culture through a series of cultural exchange activities, and further understood the strategic position and important role of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port in the national dual-cycle development pattern.
China Academy of Art
The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province jointly built universities, the national "double first-class" construction universities, the first batch of key construction universities in Zhejiang Province, selected as the national high-level university public postgraduate program, the Chinese government scholarship to accept international students in China, the first batch of demonstration universities in the country to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the first batch of national animation teaching and research bases, and the first batch of education demonstration bases in China. Founded in 1928, the China Academy of Art was founded by educator Cai Yuanpei, and was renamed National Hangzhou Art College in 1929. In 1938, it merged with Peking Art College to merge with the National Art College, in 1946 the whole school was demobilized back to Hangzhou, in 1950 it was renamed the East China Branch of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, in 1956 it was rebuilt as the Hangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and in 1957 the school site was moved from No. 18 Waixihu to Nanshan Road; In 1958, it was renamed Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, and in 1988 it was awarded its first doctorate, and in 1993 it was renamed "China Academy of Art". In 2017, the college was awarded the first "National Civilized Campus".
