
Recently, 11 students from the first international class of air transport master's class of Civil Aviation University of China completed their studies and obtained a master's degree, and are about to go to the global civil aviation stage. The 11 students are from Bangladesh, Yemen, Mongolia, Uganda, Ghana, Sri Lanka and Nigeria.
The first international master's program in air transport of Civil Aviation University of China is the first English-taught master's program offered separately for international students, and is an important measure to provide high-level talent support for the "Belt and Road" countries in Asia, Africa and other regions to strengthen the capacity building of civil aviation transportation.
The class is opened in the School of Transportation Science and Engineering of Civil Aviation University of China, and during the two-year international training, students are deeply involved in 13 all-English course modules covering the entire chain of air transportation system. The core courses include "ATM Systems and Airspace Planning", "Aircraft Systems", "Environment and Sustainable Aviation", etc., which effectively consolidate students' professional foundation and lay a solid foundation for them to win competitive advantages in the global air transport industry in the future. In the professional practice session, students went deep into many key links of the civil aviation industry chain and completed at least six months of enterprise practice. They deeply integrated practice with the professional knowledge they learned in the classroom, completed their master's thesis with high quality, and successfully passed the defense review to obtain their degrees.
In addition, the program also offers traditional Chinese culture courses, allowing international students to perceive the essence of Chinese culture from multiple angles and appreciate the Chinese spirit and image from multiple angles while absorbing professional knowledge. It is understood that these 11 outstanding graduates will devote themselves to the global civil aviation industry with the knowledge and vision gained at the Civil Aviation University of China: some will serve as overseas supervisors in international aviation logistics companies to provide efficient logistics solutions for global customers; some will serve as operations supervisors in freight forwarding companies, responsible for key international business docking; some will join well-known technology companies as account managers, leading business plans and customer relationship management; Others are about to enter the embassy in China and start a new chapter in their careers...... They are becoming the messengers of civil aviation connecting the world.
Civil Aviation University of China
Located in Tianjin, it is referred to as AVIC University and CAUC. Affiliated to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, it is a university jointly built by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Tianjin Municipality and the Ministry of Education, and a "double first-class" construction university and a high-level characteristic university construction university in Tianjin.
The predecessor of Civil Aviation University of China was the Second Civil Aviation School of the Civil Aviation Administration of the Central Military Commission established in September 1951, and since then, it has successively gone through the 14th Aviation School of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the Advanced Aviation School of Civil Aviation of China, the Civil Aviation College of China, the Civil Aviation College of China, and other periods. In 1998, it was approved as the seventh batch of master's degree authorization units. In May 2006, it was renamed Civil Aviation University of China.
In September 2011, it was selected as the second batch of universities in the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education. In 2017, it was selected into Tianjin's "Double First-Class" construction plan and became a high-level characteristic university construction university in Tianjin. In January 2018, it became a university jointly established by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the Tianjin Municipal People's Government and the Ministry of Education. In the same year, it became a doctoral degree authorization unit. In August 2022, the first phase of the Ninghe Campus project was completed and put into use.
