Study in China, Build Dreams for the World!

Chengdu University of TCM International Students' 'Perceiving China' Series Activities

On November 28, over 20 Chinese Government Scholarship international students from 8 countries including the United States, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine gathered at the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan to embark on a journey to explore the ancient Shu civilization.

Stepping into the Sanxingdui Museum, cultural relics such as the uniquely shaped Bronze Sacred Tree, the mysterious and solemn Vertical-Eyed Mask, and the exquisitely crafted Bronze Ritual Vessels immediately caught the students' attention. Everyone listened carefully to the historical stories and cultural connotations behind each relic, stopping from time to time to gaze and whisper to each other, marveling at the wisdom and creativity of the ancient Shu ancestors.

In this dialogue across thousands of years of civilization, they not only gained an understanding of the profound heritage of the ancient Shu civilization but also deepened their understanding and recognition of Chinese culture. As an important part of the school's "Perception of China" series of activities, this trip to Sanxingdui is a vivid practice of the school's international talent training. It breaks the boundaries of traditional classrooms and builds a high-quality platform for international students to perceive China and understand Sichuan.

In the future, the School of International Education will continue to launch more immersive and interactive cultural practice activities to help international students become envoys of cross-cultural communication who know and are friendly to China. Let cultural exchanges become a friendship bond connecting young people from various countries and promote the in-depth and solid development of mutual learning of civilizations.
