Peking University Establishes New School!

On November 15, the opening ceremony and main forum of the 2025 Xili Lake Forum, themed "AI for Science", was grandly held at the Shenzhen University Town International Conference Center. As an important part of this forum, the International Intellectual Property School jointly established by the State Intellectual Property Office and Peking University was officially inaugurated.

Witnessed by Academician Zhang Jin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Peking University, Executive Vice President, and Dean of the Shenzhen Graduate School; Zhao Yong, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of the State Intellectual Property Office; Zheng Xiuyu, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau; Cai Yingquan, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Office); and Huang Xiangyue, Secretary of the Nanshan District Party Committee, the International Intellectual Property School was officially launched and established.

The school is specifically constructed by the Peking University School of Transnational Law. It fully leverages the profound foundation of Peking University's law discipline and Shenzhen's unique geographical advantages. Through the linkage between the north and the south, it achieves complementary advantages and strives to build a high-end platform with international influence that integrates education, scientific research, think tank functions, and international cooperation for intellectual property talent cultivation. Located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the International Intellectual Property School aims to serve the national strategy of building a strong intellectual property country, help the Greater Bay Area become a high-level talent highland for intellectual property, and provide intellectual support and talent guarantee for global intellectual property governance and innovative development. In the future, the school will address the needs of future technology and international intellectual property governance, carry out interdisciplinary and cross-field high-level talent cultivation and innovative research, and promote the in-depth integration of intellectual property rules with the development of technology and industry.
