On November 11, Duan Yongping, a famous entrepreneur and investor, officially signed an agreement with the Beijing Normal University Education Foundation to donate 220 million yuan to support the construction of the science and engineering complex of Beijing Normal University and the development of normal and cutting-edge disciplines, and help the cultivation of innovative and integrated talents.
The science and engineering complex of Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus will be built into a highland for first-class teaching and innovative talent training with interdisciplinary integration, actively promote the deep integration of humanities such as education, history, psychology and science and engineering disciplines such as environmental science, ecology, and mathematics, and promote collaborative innovation in computer science, artificial intelligence and various disciplines. The complex will become an important platform for Beijing Normal University to build first-class disciplines, cultivate innovative talents, and achieve high-quality development.
In order to thank Duan Yongping and his mother Peng Jianhua for their important contributions to the development of the school, Beijing Normal University named the Academic Cloud Ring of the Science and Technology Complex, the core teaching hub of Zhuhai Campus, "Duan Yongping Academic Cloud Ring", and the Science and Technology Complex Library as "Peng Jianhua Library".

After graduating from Beijing Normal University, she was assigned to work at Beijing Correspondence Normal College, and then went to teach at Jiangxi Institute of Water Conservancy and Electric Power (now Jiangxi University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power).
