In order to help the 2025 international freshmen build a solid legal awareness and improve their anti-fraud capabilities, the International College of Beihang University specially invited police officers from the Garden Road Police Station of the Haidian Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau to hold a special lecture on legal publicity and telecom fraud prevention for all freshmen.
At the beginning of the legal publicity lecture, the experienced Officer Wang quickly shortened the distance with the students with his fluent English and friendly smile. In a relaxed and happy atmosphere, he cleverly cut into key issues such as anti-drugs, combined with real cases involving international students in recent years, and deeply analyzed the common methods of drug-related crimes and online fraud. In order to enhance the interactivity and sense of substitution, Officer Wang also set up a special scenario simulation link. By vividly interpreting the case scenes, the students immersed the audience in the audience, which not only deepened their understanding of the case process, but also deeply imprinted legal knowledge into their minds.
Special lecture on preventing telecom fraud Officer Wan focused on the common blind spots of legal cognition among international students, and focused on revealing high-incidence scams such as "false investment", "online dating fraud" and "fake shopping" with case explanations. By displaying screenshots of real chats, playing anti-fraud public service videos, and combining recent typical cases, targeted prevention guidance was provided for international students, effectively improving their ability to identify and respond to telecom fraud.
After the lecture, Mr. Gu Wei of the International Student Management Office once again emphasized the matters that international students should pay attention to, reminded everyone to take proper care of their personal belongings, always maintain safety awareness during their stay in China, and introduced in detail the handling process and contact information for emergencies such as first aid, alarm, and traffic accidents.
