
In this season full of harvest and hope, China Agricultural University welcomed 165 students from 47 countries around the world from September 8th to 9th.
The class of 2025 includes 40 doctoral students, 111 master's students, 6 undergraduates, and 8 advanced students. He studied in 16 colleges and 23 majors in the school, and his subject areas involved agriculture, engineering, science, management and other disciplines. Among them, the Global College, the School of Information and Environmental Protection, the School of Plant Protection and the School of Engineering are the colleges with the largest number of international freshmen.
During the freshman registration, 109 freshmen reported at the school headquarters, 38 freshmen from the School of Information and Environmental Protection and 20 MBA students from Sanya Research Institute reported at Sanya Research Institute. The registration work is smooth, efficient, and orderly, and volunteers are on duty to assist the whole process, providing on-site guidance, material verification and other intimate help for freshmen.
The teachers of the International Student Office carefully review each student's admission letter, passport, visa and other admission materials, efficiently complete the tuition payment, accommodation arrangements, campus card and insurance procedures, and distribute the "International Student Admission Guide" and warm welcome package to each freshman.
On September 10, freshmen reported to their colleges, and each college held freshman meetings, where academic teachers and students connected with students on registration, course selection, and meeting with tutors to ensure the smooth development of international students' studies.
In order to help freshmen quickly familiarize themselves with studying and living in China, the International Office organized a freshman admission briefing for the class of 2025. Zheng Xiaolin, Deputy Director of the International Office, delivered a welcome speech, welcoming the arrival of the 2025 freshmen and encouraging them to actively integrate into the campus, consolidate their professional foundation, gain knowledge and growth through cross-cultural exchanges, and become messengers of friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries.
Pedro, a representative of international students, shared his learning experience and life insights at the school. The teachers of the International Student Office introduced the scholarship management, accommodation management, immigration management, and daily management of international students.
On the afternoon of the 11th, the International Office organized a seminar on laws and regulations and insurance for the freshmen of the class of 2025, and the police officers of the Haidian Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Shuangquanbao Police Station respectively explained the common laws and regulations in China and the entry and exit management regulations closely related to international students, providing practical suggestions and guidance for everyone in all aspects of life in China. The staff of Ping An Insurance Company explained in detail the coverage of insurance and the precautions for claims settlement for the freshmen.
On the afternoon of the 12th, the International Office organized relevant management departments on campus to hold a seminar for international freshmen, and teachers from the Graduate School, Laboratory Management Office, Library, Information Office, Security Office, Logistics Support Office and other departments explained the graduate training program and course selection process, laboratory security specifications, library resource use, campus cards and network functions and other aspects closely related to the campus study and life of international students.
In the future, the International Office will also organize a series of activities such as campus visits for freshmen, department docking discussions, and practical experience sharing meetings for international students to continue to provide all-round services and support for freshmen, helping the 2025 international freshmen to smoothly start a new journey of studying in China and spend a fulfilling and meaningful learning time in school.
