The opening ceremony of the playground of Tsinghua University was held

On the afternoon of October 17, President Li Luming met with Elliott Hill, President and CEO of Nike Group and member of the Advisory Board of Tsinghua School of Economics and Management, and attended the opening ceremony of the renovated playground of Xida Donated by Nike. Yang Bin, deputy director of the school affairs committee, participated in the event.

Li Luming welcomed the visit of He Yanfeng and his delegation and looked forward to further deepening cooperation between the two sides in sustainable development and sports talent training. He Yanfeng expressed the hope that the two sides will continue to promote multi-field cooperation to a new level based on their respective advantages. At the ceremony, Li Luming, He Yanfeng and the teachers and students present witnessed the official opening of the new Western Exercise. Subsequently, Li Luming and He Yanfeng came to the track to observe the daily training of the Tsinghua track and field team and communicate cordially with the students.

Before the ceremony, He Yanfeng and his entourage also visited the School of Economics and Management to exchange and share with students on the topic of "Building the Future of Sports Together"; visited the West Gymnasium and interacted with the members of the Tsinghua basketball team. Heads of relevant departments of Nike Group and relevant persons in charge of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, Wudaokou School of Finance, Sports Department, and International Office attended relevant activities. In recent years, Tsinghua University and Nike have carried out in-depth cooperation in scientific research, talent training and other fields around sustainable development, and have achieved fruitful results. The Xida Playground Renewal Project is another result of the deepening cooperation between the two parties in the field of sports and sustainability, and its renewal materials are recycled through Nike's "Old Shoes Rebirth" program and processed through special processes. Among them, the "Old Shoes New Students" program has received extensive and active participation from Tsinghua teachers, students and alumni.
