On the evening of October 17, 2025, the music in the concert hall of the Conservatory of Music of Shanghai University was melodious and the charity concert of "One Song of One Heart, Transnational Benefit" to praise the 76th birthday of the motherland was warmly staged here. The concert was jointly sponsored by the School of Music of Shanghai University, the School of International Education of Shanghai University, and the People's Government of Dachang Town, Baoshan District, and undertaken by Shanghai Baoshan Technology Holdings Co., Ltd., bringing together 15 Chinese and foreign co-creation programs, using music as a medium to play a harmonious movement of civilization.
At the concert, international students from Shanghai University from more than 20 countries including Russia, France, Indonesia, and Malaysia performed on the same stage with Chinese teachers, students and community residents. Indonesian student Zhang Haoyun conveyed the power of faith with "LISTEN", and French student Nicolas interpreted French romance with "HIER ENCORE"; Students from the six countries sang "Sweet Honey" together, and the familiar oriental melody resonated with different cultures; In the finale program "Tomorrow Will Be Better", international students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Vietnam and other countries joined hands with Chinese students to convey the vision of "welcoming a better tomorrow together" with multilingual chorus.
The international students participating in the performance are all from the "Sea Wing" International Student Choir of Shanghai University. Since its establishment in November 2022, the troupe has attracted nearly 50 members from 20 countries and actively participated in various public welfare performances in Baoshan Science and Technology Park and Dachang Community, becoming a bright business card for regional cultural exchanges. Through music, they not only demonstrate the charm of multiculturalism, but also promote the exchange and integration of Chinese and foreign cultures.
Before the concert opened, Dachang Town donated funds and materials to the School of Music of Shanghai University to support Chinese and foreign youth cultural exchanges and art education public welfare projects. These public welfare resources will be used to create a "transnational cultural public welfare classroom" - with international students from Shanghai University as volunteer teachers, providing "foreign language + art" dual-track teaching for children in the community, and regularly holding "Chinese and foreign cultural salons" to integrate cross-cultural exchanges into daily life.
The holding of this concert is a collaborative practice of "the government sets up the stage, the empowerment of universities, and the help of enterprises". Relying on the "Five-Star Talent Workstation" platform of Baoshan Science and Technology Park, the event attracted representatives of key enterprises and talents in Dachang Town to participate, and injected cultural soft power into the "talent attraction, cultivation and retention" of the Huanshang region. The concert also turned into a "talent exchange corner", and business representatives and international students had heated discussions on topics such as "international cooperation" and "innovation and entrepreneurship". The People's Government of Dachang Town, Shanghai University and Baoshan Science and Technology Park will take this concert as an opportunity to jointly launch the "Huanshang Da Transnational Public Welfare Cultural Alliance", which plans to hold theme activities covering music, calligraphy, intangible cultural heritage and other fields every quarter, and establish a "Chinese and foreign talent docking database" to promote the deep integration of international talents with local enterprises and communities.
Wang Yong, dean of the School of Music of Shanghai University, said: "Music is a common world language. This concert is not only a tribute to the birthday of the motherland, but also explores a new path for universities to serve local development, promote international cultural exchanges, and empower regional development. ”
