Study in China Shanghai University International First Aid Training Course was successfully held

In order to improve the first aid capabilities of international students, on the afternoon of November 12, the School of International Education of Shanghai University organized more than 30 undergraduate, master's and doctoral students to successfully hold a professional first aid training at the Baoshan Campus Hospital. The training was delivered by Dr. Deng Juan and Dr. Qiu Huiling from the school hospital, and brought a vivid life safety education lesson to international students through the dual-mode teaching of "theory + practice" to jointly inherit the spirit of the Red Cross.

Theoretical foundation

Systematic analysis At the beginning of the first aid science training, Dr. Deng Juan explained the core knowledge system of first aid principles in a simple way. The two doctors used a step-by-step teaching method to demonstrate in detail the standard procedures of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the correct use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Through the three-dimensional teaching mode of "explanation-demonstration-interaction", the students not only mastered the "golden four-minute" rescue principle of CPR, quantitative standards such as compression depth and frequency, but also became familiar with the intelligent application scenarios of modern first aid equipment through AED operation drills.

Practice tempering

Simulated combat to improve emergency response capabilities In the simulation drill, international students took turns in groups to conduct CPR practical training. Two doctors, Deng Juan and Qiu Huiling, were stationed to guide the whole process, starting from the details of hand position, pressure, ventilation skills and other details, and accurately corrected each student's operation. Through the simulation of real scenarios with high-simulation mankins, the students not only consolidated what they had learned in the classroom, but also cultivated their communication and cooperation skills in emergency situations in teamwork. It is worth noting that this training has specially strengthened the training of the coordinated use of AED and CPR, so that the trainees have mastered the complete first aid chain operation skills of "assessment-call-rescue-transfer".

Spiritual sublimation

The Red Cross concept is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and this first aid training is an important part of the college's safety culture month series of activities. Through the systematic learning and practice of first aid skills, international students not only improved their emergency rescue capabilities, but also deeply understood the core of the Red Cross spirit of "humanity, fraternity and dedication". This kind of life education that transcends national borders not only cultivates the students' international humanitarian feelings, but also injects strength into the construction of a safe campus and harmony.

In the future, the School of International Education of Shanghai University will continue to promote the normalization and systematic construction of safety education, and comprehensively improve the safety literacy and awareness of international students through regular fire drills, disaster prevention training, mental health counseling and other diversified activities.

Shanghai University

The school was selected as the "111 Plan", Shanghai High-level Local University Construction University, Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, Excellent Journalism and Communication Talent Education and Training Program 2.0, and the first batch of demonstration universities in Shanghai to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education.

Shanghai University, founded on October 23, 1922, was founded by the Kuomintang and the Communist Party and was the first regular university founded and actually led by the Communist Party of China, and was forcibly closed by the Kuomintang authorities after the "April 12" in 1927. In May 1983, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government decided to merge Fudan University Branch, Shanghai International Studies University Branch, East China Normal University Instrumentation and Electronics Branch, Shanghai University of Science and Technology Branch, Shanghai Institute of Mechanical Technology Light Industry Branch, and Shanghai Fine Arts School to reopen Shanghai University. On May 27, 1994, the new Shanghai University was formed by the merger of Shanghai University of Technology (founded in 1960), Shanghai University of Science and Technology (founded in 1958), Shanghai University (founded in 1983) and Shanghai University of Science and Technology (founded in 1959). In 2017 and 2022, it was selected as a "double first-class" construction university.
