The new campus of Beijing University of Technology has started construction and settled in Fangshan

In the third quarter of this year, key engineering projects in Beijing focused on annual goals and tasks, seized the golden period of construction, and made every effort to promote the speed and efficiency of construction.

According to the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, in September this year, new projects such as the new campus of Beijing University of Technology and Beijing No. 1 Experimental Middle School started construction, and projects under construction such as the High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University in Liangxiang University Town continued to maintain a good trend, completing the construction tasks as planned, and providing solid support for the smooth operation of the economy.

Fangshan District Liangxiang University Town expands to the East District, where Beijing University of Technology ushers in a new campus. Recently, the first phase of the new campus started construction. The total investment of the project is about 7.15 billion yuan, and the construction scale is about 831,000 square meters, including classrooms, experimental practice rooms, libraries, office rooms, student dormitories, canteens, etc.

"The project is of great significance for implementing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, optimizing the layout of higher education resources in the city, actively responding to the peak of higher education enrollment, and serving the quality and expansion of higher education in Beijing." The relevant person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission said.

The student dormitory project of Beijing Technology and Business University, also located in Liangxiang University Town, has also started construction. It is reported that the total construction area of the project is about 65,000 square meters, and 5,112 beds will be provided after completion, optimizing the layout of higher education and improving the conditions for running schools.
