Central University of Finance and Economics 2026 Undergraduate Application Guide for International Students

Central University of Finance and Economics, located in the capital Beijing, has convenient transportation and superior geographical location; It is a university directly under the Ministry of Education, jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and Beijing, and the construction of the national "double first-class" construction, the "211 Project" and the first batch of "985 Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform" projects. The school has a national "double first-class" construction discipline in applied economics, and applied economics was rated A+ in the fourth round of national discipline evaluation.

The Central University of Finance and Economics is the first new type of higher finance and economics institution established by the Central People's Government after the founding of the People's Republic of China. For a long time, the school has trained more than 190,000 high-quality talents at all levels for national economic construction and social development, and is known as "the cradle of China's financial management experts".

The school has 54 undergraduate majors, 35 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 13 first-class undergraduate major construction sites in Beijing, and 3 first-class majors in Beijing.

Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizens who are physically and mentally healthy, have a high school degree or above, and hold a valid foreign passport, generally under the age of 25. If you are under 18 years old, you need to provide notarized documents from your guardian in Beijing, China. 2. Both or one of the applicant's parents are Chinese citizens and settle abroad, and they have foreign nationality at birth, or the applicant was originally a resident of the mainland (mainland), Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan of the motherland, and then immigrated abroad to obtain foreign nationality; Our school refers to the document [2020] No. 12 of the Ministry of Education of the Ministry of Education of China and requires it to provide relevant supporting materials.

Application process

1. Applicants must take the "China Scholastic Competency Assessment" organized by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and obtain test scores (our school only requires liberal arts Chinese and mathematics scores) before applying for our undergraduate programs. For specific information, please visit the official CSCA website (www.csca.cn)

2. Submit an online application

Log in to the Online Service System (https://cufe.17gz.org/) for International Students of the Central University of Finance and Economics.

3. Pay the registration fee of 600 RMB

Please note: Only online payment is supported through the payment platform in the application system (WeChat, Alipay, foreign currency credit cards, etc.) is supported, and bank transfer remittances are not accepted. List of application materials

1. Application Form for International Students of Central University of Finance and Economics. A scanned copy of the electronic signature of the application form must be uploaded to the attachment column.

2. Passport photo page.

3. High school graduation certificate, fresh graduates need to be issued a pre-graduation certificate by the institution (including expected graduation time, school performance and other information).

4. Complete high school transcripts.

5. HSK Level 5 (180 points or above) score report.

6. Scanned copy of the "CSCA test" transcript (Liberal Arts Chinese and Mathematics).

7. Study plan (the number of words must be about 500 words).

8. Two letters of recommendation.

9. "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners".

10. Certificate of no criminal record (issued by the local public security organ).

11. Letter of financial guarantee (submitted after admission).

Precautions for application materials

Application materials are limited to Chinese or English; Regardless of whether the applicant is admitted or not, all application materials and application fees are non-refundable. For applications other than Chinese/English, a notarized Chinese or English translation must be submitted.

The applicant is responsible for the authenticity of the information and materials submitted by the individual. If it is inconsistent with the facts, the Central University of Finance and Economics has the right to cancel its admission qualifications, and those who have already enrolled will be canceled.

Admission assessment

Applicants who pass the material review will participate in the online interview for undergraduates of the Central University of Finance and Economics, and the interview time will be notified by email. Therefore, the email address left when applying must be the applicant's own email address, which is true and valid for a long time.

Admission

The school informs the applicant of the admission result by email. International students who are confirmed to be enrolled in the program must pay the full tuition fee for the first year and proof of financial guarantee within 2 weeks of receiving the admission result. After receiving the tuition voucher and financial guarantee certificate, our school will start processing the admission materials.

Material review

After admission, the school will review the application materials of the proposed admitted person again, and if any violations are found, the school has the right to withdraw the admission decision and cancel the admission qualification of the proposed admitter.

Check-in

1. All international students are required to purchase medical insurance before entering China, please refer to the insurance payment guide (https://sice.cufe.edu.cn/info/1088/7369.htm) for details.

2. All international students must register on time according to the time specified in the admission notice. Start time: early September 2026 (the specific time is subject to the "Admission Notice").

Re-examination and review of admission qualifications

The school will conduct a re-examination and review of students' admission qualifications at the time of registration and after enrollment. If it is found that the admission notice, candidate information and other supporting materials held by the student are inconsistent with their actual situation or there is fraud, it is determined that they are unqualified, and the admission qualification of the freshman will be canceled or the student status will be obtained.

Accommodation fee: 40-80 yuan/bed/day

Residence permit fee: 400 yuan/year

Medical insurance cost: 800 yuan/year
