On November 7, the 3rd Aisi Academic - Outstanding International Students Academic Forum of the University of Science and Technology Beijing was held in the lecture hall of the library, and Vice President Zheng Anyang attended the event and delivered a speech.
PART.01 Concerns
Zheng Anyang pointed out that as the first batch of universities in New China to recruit international students to China, the University of Science and Technology Beijing has trained and delivered more than 10,000 high-quality talents to 174 countries and regions around the world since it recruited the first Vietnamese students in 1954. He emphasized that this year marks the fifth anniversary of President Xi Jinping's reply to all Pakistani students in our school. In the past five years, the University of Science and Technology Beijing has thoroughly implemented the spirit of the important reply, practiced the original intention of opening up education to the outside world, and continuously expanded the circle of friends for foreign cooperation and exchanges. He said that today's grand holding of the 3rd Aisi Academic - Outstanding International Students Academic Forum is to provide a broad platform for international students to collide ideas, enlighten wisdom and exchange experiences, and hope that students will cherish the opportunity and inject more new vitality into their study abroad education in China with rich scientific research results.
PART.02 Forum
In the report review session, Professor He Shuanghui from Beijing Forestry University, Zhao Shuang from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zheng Ye from Beijing Institute of Technology and many experts from our university jointly served as judges of the forum. 35 international students from 10 universities and 25 countries, including Tsinghua University and Beijing Institute of Technology, gave wonderful academic sharing.
PART.03 Fruit
After a day of wonderful displays, the expert judges on site scored the content of the competition, taking into account the standardization and innovation of academic reports and posters. In the end, 5 international students including Ah Shan from the University of Science and Technology Beijing and Shah Li from the University of International Business and Economics were awarded the first prize for academic reports, 8 international students including Ma Jiamei from Beijing Forestry University and Tan Xianshen from Beijing Language and Culture University were awarded the second prize, and 12 international students including Sa Sidu from Tsinghua University and Wen Hao from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics were awarded the third prize. In addition, 29 international students, including Tan Jin from Beijing Institute of Technology and Tan Yishan from University of Science and Technology Beijing, won the first, second and third prizes for excellent posters.
This forum is one of the series of activities of the university to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important reply to all Pakistani students in our school, aiming to build a new platform for Sino-foreign academic exchanges and innovation for international students. International students from different countries fully demonstrated themselves in the forum, stimulated academic ideals, broadened academic horizons, displayed academic achievements, and improved academic ability through continuous exchange and learning, which also pushed the academic brand influence of studying in Beijing Science and Technology and Aisi to a new high.
University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB)
Beijing University of Science and Technology, Beijing University of Science and Technology, is located in Beijing and is a multidisciplinary research university directly under the Ministry of Education.
In 1952, the University of Science and Technology Beijing was established by the mining and metallurgy departments of six famous domestic universities, including Tianjin University (formerly Beiyang University) and Tsinghua University, and was named Beijing Institute of Iron and Steel Industry. In 1960, it was renamed Beijing Iron and Steel Institute and approved as a national key university of higher learning. In 1984, it became one of the first colleges and universities in China to officially establish a graduate school. In 1988, it was renamed University of Science and Technology Beijing. In May 1997, the school was one of the first batch of universities to enter the national "211 Project" construction university. In 2006, the university became the first batch of universities to build the "985 Project" advantageous discipline innovation platform. In 2017, the school was selected as a national "double first-class" construction university. In 2018, the school was approved by the National Defense Science and Industry Administration and the Ministry of Education to jointly build a university. In December 2024, the University of Science and Technology Beijing established the Institute of Group Development.
