On September 12, 2025, the opening ceremony of the 2025 international students of the School of International Cultural Exchange of the Central University of Finance and Economics was held in the 402 lecture hall of the Academic Hall. Li Chunling, Dean of the School of International Cultural Exchange and Director of the International Student Affairs Office, Chen Xiang, Vice Dean, all faculty and staff of the college, and Chinese and foreign freshmen of the class of 2025 attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Li Yangbo, vice president of the School of International Cultural Exchange.
Dean Li Chunling delivered a warm speech, and she first extended a warm welcome to the new students from all over the world. She said that the arrival of the 2025 freshmen has injected new vitality and hope into the college. The college will continue to uphold the school motto of "loyalty, unity, truth-seeking, and innovation" of the Central University of Finance and Economics, and rely on the "Chinese + Finance" characteristic training system to provide students with high-quality teaching resources, rich cultural experience and all-round life services, so as to help everyone learn Chinese well and perceive modern China while in-depth study of financial professional knowledge and experience multiculturalism.
Dean Li Chunling put forward three hopes for freshmen: first, cherish time, study diligently, make full use of school resources, and improve Chinese ability and professionalism; second, actively integrate, open and inclusive, actively participate in cross-cultural exchanges, and broaden international horizons; The third is to apply what we have learned, have the courage to take responsibility, transform the knowledge we have learned into a bridge force to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries, and contribute youthful wisdom to promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. She wished all freshmen to gain knowledge, friendship and growth in Zhongcai University, and write their own wonderful chapters in life.
Graduate tutor Wang Chengwen and teacher Zhang Xiuhong of the Preparatory Teaching Department spoke as teacher representatives. Teacher Wang Chengwen encouraged the students to devote themselves to learning with full enthusiasm, continuously improve themselves in the integration of language and major, and strive to become messengers of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Teacher Zhang Xiuhong hopes that students will cherish their study time at China University of Finance and Technology, enjoy the fun brought by knowledge, gain growth and friendship, and spend an unforgettable study abroad journey. Graduate supervisor Wang Lin spoke as a counselor representative. She hopes that the students will explore bravely and not set limits on youth. Learn to live with stress and reconcile with yourself. Learn to make good use of technology, but also insist on independent thinking and maintaining a connection with reality, constantly improving yourself, embracing change, and broadening your horizons.
