International students from Jiangsu University walked into the Qilidian community to experience traditional Chinese medicine culture

On April 25, international students from the class of 2020 and 2023 of Jiangsu University came to the Qilidian Street Community Health Service Center to carry out a special visit to traditional Chinese medicine culture. In the Hall of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Department of Preventive Health, international students immersed themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese medicine culture through clinical observation and personal experience.

In the Hall of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Feng Liang, the attending TCM physician of acupuncture and massage, explained in detail the clinical application system of acupuncture therapy, and demonstrated traditional acupuncture methods such as insertion and twisting on the spot. After the observation session, the international students were still full of interest, enthusiastically applied for the experience, and actively tried the unique experience of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture. Subsequently, the delegation visited Ge Jiayan's clinic, systematically learned the four basic diagnostic skills of "looking, smelling, asking, and cutting", and personally experienced the practical operation of pulse diagnosis. Deeply understand the breadth and depth of the traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment system.

Qilidian Street Community Health Service Center, formerly known as Runzhou District People's Hospital, has a construction area of 23,000 square meters, complete departments and advanced medical equipment. It is a community health service center that integrates the "six-in-one" function of community health services and the comprehensive service capabilities of secondary hospitals, and has successively won the honorary titles of National Demonstration Community Health Service Center, National Quality Service Demonstration Center, and the first batch of community hospitals in the province.

During this visit, the Qilidian Street Community Health Service Center built a bridge between Chinese and foreign cultures, and the international students not only learned the four basic diagnostic skills of traditional Chinese medicine "looking, smelling, asking, and cutting", but also personally experienced the practical operation of pulse diagnosis. Through the learning experience, the students developed a strong interest in the center's traditional Chinese medicine hall, had a deeper understanding and understanding of the excellent traditional Chinese medicine culture, and spoke highly of the center's characteristic diagnosis and treatment services and professional reception work.

Jiangsu University, located in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, is a public key comprehensive university jointly built by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China. The history of the school can be traced back to the Sanjiang Normal School founded by Liu Kunyi and Zhang Zhidong in 1902, and Nanjing University, Nanjing Institute of Technology and other schools continued its strings. In 1960, Nanjing Agricultural Machinery College was established, and the following year it was moved to Zhenjiang and renamed Zhenjiang Agricultural Machinery College. In 1978, it was identified as a national key university by the State Council. In 1981, it became one of the first universities in China with the right to confer doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. In 1994, it was renamed Jiangsu University of Technology. In August 2001, it merged with Zhenjiang Medical College and Zhenjiang Normal College to form Jiangsu University. In 2003, Zhenjiang Jiangbin Hospital was transferred to the school. In 2009, it was rated as a national university with typical experience in the employment of graduates. In 2017, it was selected as a national university with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2019, it was included in the first batch of scientific and technological achievement transformation and technology transfer bases in colleges and universities. In 2023, it will take the lead in establishing an industry-education integration community in China's modern agricultural machinery and equipment industry.
