01 Youth and harmony, the world is the same
On July 29, the "World Youth Peace Conference" co-sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the All-China Youth Federation and Peking University was held at Peking University today. President Xi Jinping sent a letter to the conference, hoping that young friends from all over the world will take this conference as an opportunity to exchange ideas, enhance understanding, gain friendship, be advocates of the concept of peace and actors of peaceful development, and contribute wisdom and strength to promoting a community with a shared future for mankind. With the theme of "Together for Peace", the conference attracted about 3,000 youth representatives from five continents, heads of youth organizations from various countries and international students in China. IJAZALI, a Pakistani student from Changzhou University, was invited to attend the meeting.

IJAZALI said that at the conference, I deeply realized that peace does not only mean the absence of war, but also understanding, respect, cooperation and common development. The guests shared their unique understanding and practical experience of peace. I recognize that true peace requires every country and every individual to start from itself, and peace also requires the joint efforts of our generation and future generations. As a young man from South Asia, I especially feel that peace is not an unattainable ideal, but can be gradually achieved through education, exchanges and people-to-people ties. This conference made me rethink my responsibility as a young generation – we should not only be the beneficiaries of peace, but also the practitioners and communicators of peace.
03 Youth gather strength to build peace together
"Young people are active actors in the cause of world peace and development and an important force in addressing current global challenges." If the global youth have ideals and responsibilities, there will be hope for mankind, and there will be a steady stream of powerful forces to promote the noble cause of human peace and development. For the sake of peace, the younger generation should persist in inheriting the friendship of the people, jointly promote mutual learning among civilizations, work together to promote win-win cooperation, and protect world tranquility side by side!
Changzhou University (CZU)
Located in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, it is a provincial full-time undergraduate college jointly established by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, China National Petroleum and Natural Gas Corporation, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation and China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
The school was founded in 1978 and was formerly known as Wuxi Branch and Changzhou Branch of Nanjing Institute of Chemical Technology. In 1981, with the approval of the State Council, the school was named Jiangsu Institute of Chemical Technology. In 1992, it became a subordinate college managed by China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation and was renamed Jiangsu Petrochemical Institute. in 2002, it was renamed Jiangsu Institute of Technology; in 2010, it was renamed Changzhou University; In 2020, the school became a university jointly established by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and the Changzhou Municipal People's Government, and in 2025, it was approved to be exempted from qualifications.
