
On October 18, the 2025 International Cultural Festival of Lanzhou University with the theme of "Silk Road Song, Beauty in Lanzhou University" was grandly opened on campus. More than 5,000 people attended the event, including heads of relevant functional departments of the school, all faculty and staff of the School of International Cultural Exchange, all international students of the school, and teachers and students of the campus.
Students from the Faculty of Arts, including South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Sudan, Egypt, Tanzania, and Bangladesh, actively participated in the event, adding a unique brilliance to this cultural feast with enthusiasm and vitality. At the event site, international students from the School of Liberal Arts may be dressed in traditional costumes of their own countries to introduce the history and culture, folk customs and special food of their hometown to past teachers and students in the cultural exhibition area; or actively participate in various interactive experience sessions, exchange and discuss with Chinese students and international students from other countries, and enhance mutual understanding through interaction. Some students showed the traditional handicrafts of their country on the spot, and the exquisite works attracted everyone to stop and watch, and praise them; Some students conveyed the artistic charm of their hometown through songs, dances and other theatrical performances, and won bursts of applause.
From the gentleness and elegance of Asia to the romantic style of Europe, from the enthusiasm of Africa to the diverse integration of the Americas, the multicultural display brought by the international students of the Faculty of Arts made the teachers and students on the scene feel as if they were starting a "global journey" and immersed themselves in the unique charm of different civilizations.
