Success for NPU: 2026 Spring Semester Exchange Student Symposium Successfully Held

On the afternoon of March 26, 2026, the 2026 Spring Semester Exchange Student Symposium was successfully held at the Youyi Campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). This semester, NPU welcomes 33 exchange students from 9 countries, including France, Italy, Russia, and South Korea. These students represent 11 prestigious partner institutions, such as:

  • Politecnico di Milano (Italy)
  • Sapienza University of Rome (Italy)
  • INSA Graduate School (France)
  • ESTACA (France)
  • EPITA (France)
  • Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia)
  • Dankook University (South Korea)
  • University of São Paulo (Brazil)
  • Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Kazakhstan)

Li Ziwei, Vice Dean of the College of International Education, along with staff from the Teaching Management, Student Affairs, and Admissions offices, attended the meeting to welcome the newcomers.

A Vibrant Exchange of Cultures

The symposium kicked off with an energetic atmosphere. Students participated in ice-breaking games, showcasing their talents in singing, dancing, and martial arts. These performances not only highlighted their diverse personalities but also fostered a sense of community among the international cohort.

Guidance for a Successful Journey in China

Vice Dean Li Ziwei delivered a warm welcome speech, encouraging students to excel in their academic and research pursuits while strictly adhering to university regulations. He urged the students to:

  • Build lasting friendships with local peers.
  • Explore the rich history and culture of Xi’an and China.
  • Gain a deeper understanding of China’s modern development and national conditions.

Following the speech, faculty members provided detailed briefings on campus life, scholarship management, and safety protocols, ensuring a smooth transition for the students’ journey in China.
