Russian High School Students Visit Sichuan University: A Milestone in Sino-Russian Educational Exchange

With the official launch of the 2026-2027 “Sino-Russian Year of Education,” efforts to foster friendship among youth and deepen educational ties have reached a new height. On the morning of April 2, a delegation of Russian high school students arrived at Sichuan University (SCU) for a campus tour and an immersive Chinese cultural experience.

Accompanied by enthusiastic student volunteers, the Russian faculty and students explored the scenic SCU campus. Their itinerary included visits to state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, the iconic administrative building, the expansive library, and the university’s prestigious museum. Volunteers provided detailed introductions to the architectural heritage and academic strengths of various colleges, offering a comprehensive look at the university’s world-class facilities and centennial cultural legacy.

Following the tour, the International Students Office provided an in-depth briefing on admission requirements for Chinese language programs and distributed application materials. Faculty from the Overseas Education College also shared insights into specialized Chinese language training and unique cultural courses. The visit concluded with a hands-on Chinese calligraphy workshop, where the Russian students experienced the artistic charm of Chinese characters in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.

This exchange program not only provides a platform for Russian youth to understand Sichuan University and China better but also enriches the university’s international engagement. It marks a significant step in injecting new vitality into the enduring friendship between the youth of China and Russia.
