On October 28, the Panlong City Campus project of Wuhan Central China Normal University officially started construction. The Panlongcheng Campus of Central China Normal University, with a total investment of 8.606 billion yuan and a planned total land area of 3,750 acres, will plan to build classrooms, experimental rooms, scientific research rooms, libraries, dormitories and other supporting facilities involving teachers and students' teaching, scientific research, office and life, which can be used by more than 20,000 students and more than 2,000 teaching and research personnel after completion. It is expected that the first batch of students will enter the park in 2028.
The project is adjacent to Fuhe Wetland in the west, Hangcheng Avenue in the south, Renkai Lake in the north, and surrounded by lakes on three sides. The planned land area is about 3,750 acres, of which the construction land of Panlong City Campus is about 2,107 acres, with a total construction area of 963,100 square meters.
Since the beginning of this year, Central China Normal University has cooperated with Huangpi District many times. In February, the "Hongxing Future Technology Laboratory" jointly built by China Normal University and Climbing Technology was unveiled, and the tripartite collaborative innovation of the school, local and enterprise took a key step; In June, 7 "doctoral groups" from Central China Normal University came to Huangpi to break down the barriers of talents between the school and the local area, and realize the benign interaction of "co-education and sharing". At the same time, the Frontier Catalysis Research Institute of Central China Normal University plans to settle in Panlongcheng Campus, adding hard-core support to Huangpi District to build a demonstration park for the integrated development of education, science and technology and talents. "To build the Affiliated School of China Normal University, we must not only ensure the quality of construction, but also synchronously match the high-quality education concept of China Normal University, so that the supporting facilities of 'good school' can be implemented from drawings to the field." After signing the contract, the relevant person in charge of Wuhan Airdrop Group said that a special team will be set up to ensure that the construction of affiliated schools and campuses is "promoted at the same frequency", so that teachers and students can "enjoy excellent education when they enter school" in the future.
The main person in charge of Huangpi District said that the landing of the Panlong City Campus project will form a vivid situation of "unified planning, dislocation layout, complementary advantages, and overall development" of the two campuses of China Normal University.
