On October 25, the 4th Guangxi International Students Chinese Poetry Competition in 2025 came to a successful conclusion. This competition is sponsored by the Education Management Professional Committee of Foreign Students of the Guangxi Society of Higher Education, with the theme of "Tasting the Beauty of Poetry and Inheriting the Civilization of the Ages", aiming to help international students deeply feel the eternal charm of classical Chinese poetry.
The competition is fiercely competitive, divided into two parts: preliminary/individual competition (poetry culture knowledge quick answer) and final/team competition (poetry interpretation set of questions), which comprehensively examines the contestants' poetry accumulation and cultural understanding. Three international students selected by Guangxi University achieved excellent results in both the individual and team competitions with their solid poetry skills and excellent on-the-spot performance: among them, Meng Qingchuan and Nguyen Thi Xuelan won the first prize in the individual competition, and Tan Shi Fangyuan won the second prize in the individual competition; At the same time, the participating team composed of three students won the first prize in the team competition of the competition.
This excellent result is the embodiment of Guangxi University's long-term commitment to international Chinese education and the active promotion of the dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese culture. This competition not only demonstrated the excellent poetry literacy and comprehensive ability of our international students, but also further stimulated the enthusiasm of the majority of international students to learn Chinese culture.
