In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the "Outline of the Plan for Building an Educational Power (2024-2035)", and comprehensively promote the quality, efficiency and high-quality development of study abroad education in China, in accordance with the work requirements of the China Scholarship Council on the quality of study abroad education in China, on October 19, Southwest University of Finance and Economics successfully held the academic level test for undergraduate freshmen studying in China in the West District Teaching Building of Guanghua Campus. The test was conducted in the form of a computer network test, and a total of 89 international students took the mathematics test.
The school attaches great importance to the organization of this examination and designates the School of International Education to do a good job in the academic level test of international students. The School of International Education started preparations in advance and promoted various arrangements with refined standards. In the pre-examination stage, in order to ensure the smooth online examination process, the college carried out special training on examination affairs and technology on October 10 to clarify the division of responsibilities for each position; Subsequently, from October 15th to 16th, a comprehensive test was conducted on the examination system and related hardware equipment, and a full-time simulation test was organized to investigate the problems of the examination equipment and network environment one by one, and the examination process was optimized simultaneously to lay a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the official examination.
During the examination, a strict and standardized management mechanism is implemented on site. The invigilators conscientiously performed their duties, the candidates entered the venue in an orderly manner, and the overall operation of the examination room was smooth and orderly. The coordination between various positions is closely coordinated to ensure the smooth completion of this exam.
The examination is coordinated by the China Scholarship Council to systematically test the basic academic ability of new students studying in China, and to provide key support for building a more standardized and scientific admission evaluation system. As one of the universities participating in the pilot, Southwest University of Finance and Economics actively responded and solidly implemented the relevant work. This practice not only accumulated rich experience, but also provided a useful reference for the school to optimize the enrollment and selection mechanism of international students, improve the quality of students, and strengthen the training of international talents.
