On October 16, the opening ceremony and series of activities of the 17th International Education Exchange Month were held at Qingshuihe Campus. Peng Lan, deputy secretary of the party committee of the school, and François. François Pierrot and others participated in the opening ceremony and a series of activities. Leaders of relevant functional departments and colleges, foreign secretaries, and more than 3,000 teachers and students of our school participated in the event.
Peng Lan delivered an opening speech. She said that the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China has always adhered to the global development strategy, deepened practical cooperation with world-class universities, promoted teachers and students to participate in international exchanges, and continuously enhanced the international influence of the university. The University of Montpellier is an important partner of the University of Montpellier, and the two universities have made positive contributions to promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. The school will continue to increase investment, improve the international support system, and help every Chengdian student grow into an outstanding talent with family and country feelings, global vision and international competence.
François. Pierrot delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony and the "Humanities and Sciences" lecture of the Chengdian Forum, expounding the current global challenges and his own insights on solving these challenges, and urged young students to embrace the world with an open mind, control technology with a humanistic spirit, and jointly create a future that is not only more advanced, but also more meaningful and sustainable.
At the opening ceremony, Chinese and foreign students brought wonderful songs and cross talk performances, and the participants watched the international exchange review video of "2025, We Are Steady and Far". Three students who participated in overseas exchange this year shared their gains and insights from overseas exchange and study.
Before the opening ceremony, Peng Lan and François. Piero and others unveiled the style exhibition of the University of Montpellier in the third hall of the library. The exhibition showcases the natural and cultural features of the city of Montpellier and the University of Montpellier.
After the opening ceremony, the guests came to the Time Square to experience the colorful international cultural festival.
