In the summer of 2025, the "Encounter the SCO, Great Beauty of Xinjiang" Chinese and foreign youth practice activity hosted by the China Shanghai Cooperation Organization Committee for Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation came to a successful conclusion. International students from Russia, Brusenkova Elena and Belous Violanta, participated in the event as representatives of our students.
The event attracted more than 100 young international students from nearly 50 Chinese universities in 35 countries around the world. During the week-long trip, teachers and student representatives visited historical and cultural landmarks such as the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum, the ancient city of Jiaohe, Turpan Grape Gully, and the Qan'erjing Folk Garden, as well as modern industrial bases such as the Laolonghe Niuquanzi Lake Modern Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Zone, the Smart Agriculture Museum of Xinjiang Agricultural Expo Park, Xinjiang Xiaochu Food Co., Ltd., and Xinjiang Baicheng Fresh Food Supply Chain Co., Ltd. Through immersive experiences, participants deeply experienced Xinjiang's diverse cultures and observed the achievements of regional cooperation and development under the "Belt and Road" initiative.
Through this activity, the international students not only gained an in-depth understanding of Xinjiang's multiculturalism and modern development achievements, but also understood the need to become messengers of mutual learning among civilizations, bridges of innovation and cooperation, and persons in charge of sharing a common destiny in the "walking classroom".
