From July 21st to 25th, the "Drinking the Same River, Building a Bridge of Destiny Together" Guangxi University China-Vietnam Youth "Red Study Tour" summer social practice group will go to Nanning, Guilin, Jingxi and other places to carry out a five-day transnational youth exchange activity. The practice group consists of 20 Chinese and Vietnamese youths, including 8 Vietnamese students in China and 5 Chinese students who have studied in Vietnam.
During the event, at the "China-Vietnam Friendship Story Meeting" held by Guangxi University on the 21st, Huang Qiuzhuang looked back on his five-year study abroad trip and sighed: "Thank you to all the teachers and friends who helped me, it was you who gave me the courage and opportunity to understand and love China. ”
Born in 2002, Huang Qiuzhuang, from Mong Cai, Vietnam, has often traveled to Dongxing, China with her family since she was a child, and her first impression of China is the enthusiastic Chinese on the streets, Malatang and hot pot, exquisitely designed toys, and various styles of clothes. "As a child, I was still immersed in Chinese cartoons such as "Journey to the West", "Nezha in the Sea", and "Sweetheart Gege", which ignited my curiosity about Chinese culture. Huang Qiuzhuang said.
As a result, Huangqiuzhuang High School was admitted to the local key Chinese class. In 2020, with the support of the Guangxi government scholarship, she chose to study Chinese language at Guangxi University and embarked on her dream study abroad path.
In Huang Qiuzhuang's eyes, Chinese is not only a language, but also a window that allows her to see a colorful world. During her study abroad, she not only studied Chinese, but also fell in love with Chinese movies, learning calligraphy and reciting poetry, and traveled to Beijing, Tianjin and other cities.
Huang Qiuzhuang believes that China and Vietnam are connected by mountains and rivers, have the same culture, and their friendship has long been integrated into each other's historical context, from ancient cultural mutual learning to modern mutual support, this friendship is precious and profound.
Now, after graduating from her bachelor's degree, Huang Qiuzhuang will go to Tongji University to study Chinese international education, and she hopes to become a qualified Chinese teacher, share her feelings in China with Vietnamese compatriots, and make herself a part of the friendship between China and Vietnam.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam and the "Year of China-Vietnam People-to-People Exchanges", and China and Vietnam are continuing to deepen educational cooperation and exchanges. According to statistics from relevant Vietnamese institutions, the number of Vietnamese students studying in China will reach 32,000 in 2023, and the number of Vietnamese students studying in China will increase by 25% year-on-year in 2024. At the same time, the "Blue Book of China Study Abroad 2025" shows that China's study abroad destinations are globalizing, and the attractiveness of Asia and the "Belt and Road" countries is gradually increasing.
Fragrant coffee, steaming pho, and roaring motorcycles...... In July this year, Wen Shiya, a Vietnamese language major from Guangxi University, ended her 10-month study abroad in Vietnam, but the warmth of the city in Hanoi, Vietnam still left a deep impression on her.
Wen Shiya remembers that on the first day she arrived in Hanoi, she learned that she was a taxi driver for Chinese students, who took her to visit Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Thang Long Imperial City and other scenic spots and explained.
Wen Qilong, who is also an international student in Vietnam, formed a transnational friendship because of a white shirt.
Wen Qilong recalled that one night, he received a notice that he needed to attend school in formal attire, but because he did not bring a white shirt and the clothing store on the street was closed at night, he walked into the chicken powder shop he frequented, and the boss in his twenties, Ah Yong, lent him a white shirt for free, and the two became friends who talked about everything. On the eve of returning to China, Wen Qilong gave snacks to him, and Ah Yong gave back homemade chicken powder seasoning.
This friendship, which began with a white shirt, made Wen Qilong understand that the warmth of a foreign country is often hidden in the most ordinary daily life. "Just like the Vietnamese saying 'eat solidly, wear for a long time', sincere friendship does not have to be earth-shattering." Wen Qilong said, "Young people are building a bridge of friendship with sincerity, and when countless small bridges are connected, it will become a road for the Chinese and Vietnamese people to connect with each other." ”
