The School of International Culture of South China Normal University welcomes the 2025 Chinese and foreign freshmen

From September 4th to 7th, 2025, the School of International Culture successively completed the orientation work for the 2025 Chinese and foreign students of the college. 993 freshmen from 33 countries gathered at the International Cultural Institute with dreams and hopes, and are about to embark on a new journey of study, exploration and growth.

The party and government leaders of the college attach great importance to this orientation work, and together with the Student Affairs Office, the Admissions and Promotion Office, and the Graduate Affairs Office, they have formulated a detailed and complete orientation work plan to ensure the smooth development of the orientation work. Under the specific guidance of teachers from various departments of the college, the orientation work service team promotes the orientation work in an orderly manner, assisting new students in completing the admission procedures in various links such as admission guidelines, insurance purchase (international students), registration and registration, information collection, accommodation arrangements, and placement tests (international students), providing a "warm, thoughtful, efficient and convenient" one-stop orientation service.

During the orientation period, Jin Tan, Dean of the College, Chen Xiaoling, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch, Wu Xiaoyi, Vice Dean, and Deng Baiyi, Vice Dean, came to the school to greet the service point and the college registration site to visit the staff and new students, express their gratitude to the hard work of the orientation staff, and extend a warm welcome to the arrival of the 2025 freshmen of the college.

In addition, the Graduate Student Association of the Youth League Committee of the college also carefully arranged Chinese and foreign students' style display boards, welcome boards, photo background boards, etc., to take group photos for freshmen and parents, and jointly record this important entrance moment. On the evening of September 8, in order to better understand the freshmen and enable them to adapt to the new environment and new life as soon as possible, the party and government leadership team of the college led all the teachers of the Student Work Office to visit the freshmen in the Chinese and foreign freshman dormitories. During the visit, the college leaders and teachers communicated with the freshmen to guide them to actively adapt to the new environment and prepare for the next study and life.

It is reported that the Student Affairs Office of the college, together with the Graduate Affairs Office and the Department of Chinese Language and Culture, will continue to carry out the "2025 Freshman Admission Education" activity in the next two to three weeks.
