In order to thoroughly implement the requirements of the "Notice on Organizing Undergraduate Freshmen to Study in China to Carry out Academic Proficiency Tests and Examinations" of the China Scholarship Fund of the Ministry of Education, on October 12, our school successfully completed the 2025 National Academic Proficiency Test for Undergraduate Freshmen Studying in China at the Computer Basic Experimental Teaching Center of the Comprehensive Building of the Western Campus.

September 22: The person in charge of examination affairs, technical person in charge and other staff of our school participated in the pre-examination training meeting organized by the China Scholarship Council on time. After the meeting, the installation of the examination system and the preliminary test of the computer room were completed as soon as possible to ensure that the hardware equipment was adapted to the examination requirements.
September 24-September 30 (deployment and testing stage): The technical and examination teams comprehensively carried out the debugging of the examination software, checked the operating status of the invigilation equipment and candidates' terminals one by one, and accurately reviewed and tested the personal information and examination accounts of 227 candidates; All faculties and colleges act synchronously to assist candidates in reasonably planning their elective subjects.
October 9 - October 10 (test center joint adjustment stage): 306 Chinese government scholarship colleges across the country will simultaneously carry out pre-examination rehearsals, and conduct "linkage tests" on the test accounts of 227 candidates according to the official examination time period of mathematics, physics and chemistry. At the same time, our school has formulated a clear "Examination Notice" and "Instructions for Candidates", marking in detail the key information such as the location of the examination room, admission requirements, and answer specifications, and planning the optimal route from the dormitory to the examination room for candidates to help candidates familiarize themselves with the examination process in advance.
October 11, 20:00-21:00: Du Fang, assistant to the dean of the School of International Education, presided over the examination coordination and training meeting to further refine the examination process and clarify the responsibilities of each position. For some examination personnel who did not participate in the pre-examination training meeting of colleges and universities of the Foundation Committee, Shi Chenkai of the Admissions Office specially carried out supplementary training.
02 Formal examination: strict management + warmth to ensure fairness and smoothness
On the day of the exam on October 12, our school implemented strict management of the examination room area, implemented control and service from the details, and created a fair, stable and heart-warming examination environment for candidates:
Admission control: Make the candidate's admission ticket information strip in advance, and the candidate needs to receive the admission ticket first after arriving at the examination room, and verify the identity with the admission ticket and passport; At the same time, the examination staff set up an "item storage area" at the entrance of the examination room to remind candidates to store mobile phones, electronic devices and other items unrelated to the exam in a unified manner to maintain the order of the examination room.
Bilingual service: Bilingual support is provided throughout the exam, not only the test papers are available in Chinese and English, but also invigilators and technicians can also provide bilingual proctoring and bilingual guidance, accurately docking the needs of candidates with different language backgrounds, helping candidates better understand the exam requirements and processes, and ensuring the fairness of the exam and the smoothness of candidates' answers.
Emergency support: Considering that some candidates may miss the exam stationery, the school has specially prepared spare stationery such as draft paper and gel pens for candidates, which will be uniformly distributed by invigilators before the exam to solve the temporary needs of candidates.
All subjects are advancing in an intense and orderly manner: the mathematics subject examination is held from 9:30 to 10:30 and is a compulsory subject. The physics subject examination and chemistry subject examination will be held from 14:00 to 15:00 and 16:00-17:00 respectively. During the entire examination process, all links are controlled at all levels, the invigilators strictly perform their duties, and the technical personnel make every effort to ensure that each candidate completes the test smoothly.
03 Post-exam combing: focus on feedback + refine experience to help future work
After the exam, the examination staff organized the candidates to leave the venue in an orderly manner and carefully checked whether there were any personal belongings left in the examination room; Technicians and examination personnel confirm that all candidates' answer data are uploaded normally, and collect candidates' feedback on the difficulty of the exam, the number of questions, and the answer time in a timely manner.
The national academic level test for undergraduate freshmen studying in China covers more than 100 "double first-class" universities across the country, which is not only an important basis for evaluating the academic level of current undergraduate students studying in China, but also provides a key reference for the country to formulate the proposition standards for undergraduate freshmen studying in China. Through this test, our school has not only accumulated valuable experience in large-scale international examination organizations, but also provided practical support for optimizing the enrollment and selection mechanism, improving the quality of study abroad education in China, and promoting the construction of an international talent training system.
