Northwestern Polytechnical University Organizes Teachers and Students to Study and Exchange in Yan'an

On December 5, a delegation of teachers and students from the School of International Education of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) went to Yan'an to experience the spiritual connotation of this revolutionary holy land and carried out a cultural exchange activity with teachers and students from Yan'an Vocational and Technical College.

At Yan'an Vocational and Technical College, international student representatives from Morocco, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, South Korea and other countries at our university shared their respective national cultures and study experiences in fluent Chinese, demonstrating the charm of intercultural learning. Teacher Wen Shilong from Yan'an Vocational and Technical College introduced and sang northern Shaanxi folk songs in a vivid way to the teachers and students present. Teachers and students from Yan'an Vocational and Technical College showcased the unique northern Shaanxi culture and Ansai waist drum (a national intangible cultural heritage). Teachers and students from our college actively participated in the experience, and the on-site atmosphere was warm and harmonious. After the exchange activity, teachers and students from our college visited Pagoda Mountain, a symbol of China's revolutionary holy land.

During the visit and learning, the students deeply felt the profound red historical heritage of Yan'an. Regarding the trip to Yan'an, Zhang Yicheng, a student from Indonesia, said that this activity allowed him to share his own culture while deeply experiencing the waist drum and folk songs of the old revolutionary base areas, and this cultural collision was very wonderful. In the future, the college will continue to expand high-quality practical platforms, enrich exchange forms, and help international students gain more growth on the path of perceiving China and understanding the world.
