On December 7, 2025, the 2025 "FLTRP·Talent Cup" "Understanding Contemporary China" National Final of the Chinese Short Video Contest for International Students in China concluded successfully in Beijing. The work Xia Yu Shu (Summer Language Book) by international students from Chongqing University won the silver award in this competition, bringing honor to the university.
As a high-profile event included in the competition directory of the Analysis Report on College Student Competitions in Regular Higher Education Institutions Nationwide, this competition is co-hosted by Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing Language and Culture University, and organized by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. It is one of the highest-recognized and most influential high-level foreign language competitions in China currently, attracting 919 international students from 196 universities in 28 provinces across the country to participate enthusiastically. A total of 491 original short video works from 90 countries were collected, making the competition extremely fierce.
Led by the International Office (Study Abroad Center) of our university and guided by Teacher Liang Lulu from the School of Film and Television, the Xia Yu Shu team consists of Indonesian international student Li Yunzhen, Bolivian international student Fang Fang, and Thai international student Wang Lili. Centered on the competition theme of "Beautiful China", the team focused on "Xia Bu" (Summer Cloth), a national intangible cultural heritage that carries China’s thousand-year-old textile wisdom. With solid Chinese language skills, unique creative perspectives, flexible camera language, and sincere emotional expression, they interpreted that Chinese intangible cultural heritage skills are not only "living fossils" of history but also vivid manifestations of the cultural connotation of "Beautiful China". From the strict selection of provincial trials to the professional review of the national final, the Xia Yu Shu team prepared carefully, polished continuously, and overcame all obstacles all the way, finally stepping onto the award stage successfully.

Chongqing University (Chongqing University, CQU)
Nicknamed CQU, it is located in Chongqing, China. It is a national key university directly administered by the Central Government and the Ministry of Education, and is listed among the national "Double First-Class" initiative, "Project 211", and "Project 985". It is a university with engineering as its core, featuring coordinated development of multiple disciplines. Founded in 1929, the university developed into a comprehensive university with complete disciplines in arts, science, engineering, business, law, and medicine by the 1940s. In 1952, it was restructured into a multi-disciplinary university with engineering as its core. After the reform and opening-up, the university carried out comprehensive restoration, adjustment, reform, and construction, and became a university with engineering as its core and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. In 2000, the former Chongqing University of Architecture, Chongqing Higher Vocational College of Architecture, and Chongqing University merged to form the new Chongqing University. On the morning of January 16, 2025, the "Chinese Badminton Association - Chongqing University Badminton Center" was established.
