International Student Alumni Branch of Harbin Institute of Technology Officially Established

On December 6, 2025, amid the warm and lively atmosphere of the 12th "World Hand in Hand" Gala, the inauguration ceremony of the International Alumni Association Branch of Harbin Institute of Technology was grandly held. Alumni representatives from around the globe, partners, and faculty and students gathered together to witness this significant moment that connects HIT students worldwide. Cao Diefeng, Deputy Director of the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province; Shuai Yong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of HIT; leaders from ten universities in the "Study in Heilongjiang" Sino-Foreign Youth Social Practice Activity Base Consortium; and leaders from various functional departments of the university attended the ceremony.

At the beginning of the event, international alumni of HIT from different countries and regions around the world sent their congratulations from afar. Familiar greetings of "Ni Hao" and sincere blessings transcended time zones and mountains and seas, converging into a deep attachment to their alma mater.

Amid warm applause, Yang Chunlei, Director of the Alumni Affairs Office of HIT, and Zhao Yixiao, Dean of the College of International Education, jointly unveiled the plaque for the "International Alumni Association Branch of Harbin Institute of Technology." As the red ribbon fell, it marked a brand-new stage in the organized and platform-based development of HIT's international alumni community.

Subsequently, Yang Chunlei presented appointment certificates to the members of the first session council of the International Students Alumni Chapter and posed for a photo with them. Each appointment certificate carried trust and responsibility, and the first council would shoulder the glorious mission of uniting alumni, serving alumni, and contributing to the development of the alma mater.

As an alumni representative, UNURSAIKHAN GANKHUYAG, the Head of the Confucius School in Mongolia, took the stage to share his "HIT memories." He fondly recalled his wonderful time studying at HIT, expressing gratitude for the knowledge, vision, and strength imparted by his alma mater. He also expressed his fervent desire, as a member of the alumni association branch, to actively promote educational and cultural exchanges between Mongolia and China.

The release of this roadmap marked the beginning of a systematic and branded chapter in Heilongjiang Province's efforts to provide international students with richer and more in-depth social practice and cultural experiences.
