
To deepen educational cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative and promote international enrollment and cultural exchanges, from November 7 to 11, a delegation from Zhengzhou University consisting of Zhu Xiaoyan, Vice Dean of our college, Song Wei, Vice Dean of the School of Computer and Artificial Intelligence, and Wang Xiaoying, Deputy Secretary of the School of Management, traveled to Malaysia and Indonesia to participate in the 2025 Study in China Education Exhibition. Meanwhile, our university's delegation also visited local universities and education administrative authorities and achieved positive results.
Appearing at the International Education Exhibition to Showcase Zhengzhou University's International Image
From November 8 to 9, at the Study in China Education Exhibition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Jakarta, Indonesia, our university's delegation introduced Zhengzhou University's disciplinary advantages, enrollment policies, and the experience of studying in China to local students and parents through booth presentations, institutional negotiations, and on-site consultations. They focused on promoting our university's English-taught undergraduate programs in Clinical Medicine, Stomatology, Pharmacy, Civil Engineering, Software Engineering, International Trade, and Tourism Management, as well as non-degree education programs such as Chinese language students and preparatory students. Zhu Xiaoyan stated that as a national "Double First-Class" construction university, Zhengzhou University is always committed to international development; Malaysia and Indonesia are important partners along the Belt and Road Initiative, and it is hoped that the education exhibition will serve as a bridge to attract more outstanding students to study at the university and experience the innovation and vitality of Chinese higher education.
Jointly Discussing Educational Cooperation to Boost the "Study in China" Brand Building
On the morning of November 10, our university's delegation visited Tarumanagara University, a well-known private university in Indonesia, and held discussions with the university's leaders and representatives from relevant departments of computer science and business. On the afternoon of November 10, the delegation visited the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Technology and Science, and exchanged views with relevant officials on topics such as China-Indonesia higher education cooperation policies, international student enrollment trends, and inter-university cooperation support mechanisms. Officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education expressed appreciation for the Study in China Education Exhibition and hoped that more Chinese universities would establish cooperative relations with Indonesian universities to jointly cultivate high-quality international talents.
The 2025 Study in China Education Exhibition is hosted by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, attracting nearly 1,000 universities from around the world. The delegation participating in the exhibition in Malaysia and Indonesia consists of 22 well-known domestic universities and institutions, including Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and Shandong University. This participation has, on the one hand, enhanced our university's visibility in Southeast Asia and laid a solid foundation for the subsequent expansion of international student enrollment and optimization of student source structure; on the other hand, it has also helped build a broader global education partnership network and promoted China-Malaysia and China-Indonesia higher education cooperation to a new level.
Zhengzhou University (Zhengzhou University)
Also known as Zhengda (ZZU), it is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It is a "university co-built by the ministry and province" between the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Henan Provincial People's Government, a national "Double First-Class" (First-Class University) construction university, and a "211 Project" construction university. The university has successively been included in the national training programs for outstanding engineers, outstanding legal talents, and outstanding doctors; selected into the national "111 Plan" and national college student innovation and entrepreneurship training programs; and is one of the first batch of national demonstration schools for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform and a national university with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The medical education of Zhengzhou University originated from Henan Zhongshan University in 1928, and Henan Medical College became an independent institution in 1952; the former Zhengzhou University was founded in 1956 as the first comprehensive university established in New China; Zhengzhou University of Technology was founded in 1963 as a key institution directly under the former Ministry of Chemical Industry; in 1981, when the national degree system was officially established, Zhengzhou University became one of the first batch of master's degree awarding units; in 1998, the disciplines of Material Processing Engineering and Chemical Technology obtained doctoral degree awarding points. In July 2000, the former Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou University of Technology, and Henan Medical College merged to form the new Zhengzhou University. In September 2012, the university was selected into the national "Comprehensive Strength Improvement Project for Universities in the Central and Western Regions"; in November 2021, the university was selected into the Ministry of Education's Basic Discipline Top Talent Training Program 2.0 Base.
