
On November 11, the School of International Education of Southwest University of Finance and Economics successfully held the first career guidance symposium for international students in China. The event attracted more than 100 international students and aimed to help them better understand the Chinese job market, plan their career development paths in China, and enhance their competitiveness in the workplace.
The symposium specially invited the founder of the well-known career development platform CareeRoad and an experienced professional team to provide employment guidance on site. This guidance meeting is rich in content and practical, and comprehensively covers all important aspects of international students' job search in China. The professional tutors systematically and in-depth explained multiple core modules such as interview skills, effective maintenance of personnel relations in the workplace, the core points of resume making, and efficient and accurate employment information query channels.
At the same time, based on the characteristics of China's job market and actual cases, many practical strategies and interview techniques were shared, providing highly targeted guidance for international students. In the subsequent one-on-one talk and guidance session, the atmosphere was warm and the interaction was frequent. International students actively asked questions about the confusion and challenges they encountered in the process of job search preparation and career planning. The career guidance teachers listened patiently and gave nuanced and personalized answers and suggestions for each student's specific situation and questions.
This symposium is one of the important measures taken by the School of International Education of Southwest University of Finance and Economics to deepen the service and management of international students in China and support international students to achieve high-quality employment. The event not only built a valuable platform for international students to communicate directly with workplace experts, effectively improved their job search skills and confidence, but also fully reflected the school's deep concern for the future career development of international students
