Study in China: Russian Teachers and Students Visit Sichuan University

On November 12, 2025, a delegation of teachers and students from School No. 94 in Yekaterinburg, Russia, visited Sichuan University. Our university carefully organized an exchange activity integrating policy interpretation, experience sharing, campus visits, and cultural experiences, which was held smoothly. At 9:30 a.m., the exchange activity officially kicked off with a special lecture on the policy of studying in China, which was also the core part of the delegation's visit.

Teachers from the Admissions Section of the International Students Management Office focused on the issues most concerned by Russian students. Together with DARIA CHERNEGOVA (Daria), a Russian doctoral student majoring in Business Administration at the Business School of our university, they introduced the advantageous majors of Sichuan University—covering multiple fields favored by Russian students such as engineering, medicine, and humanities—and explained various programs that international students are interested in. During the lecture, teachers and students of the delegation asked questions frequently, and the on-site interaction atmosphere was warm.

As a firsthand experiencer of "studying at Sichuan University," DARIA CHERNEGOVA (Daria) also combined her professional study experience at the Business School to recount her diverse growth journey—from acquiring knowledge in class to internships and practical experiences outside class, from cross-cultural exchanges at the "International Cultural Festival" to participating in the International Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. She used vivid stories to showcase Sichuan University's complete training system and inclusive campus culture. "Here, I not only gained professional knowledge but also found confidence in cross-cultural communication." Daria's sharing significantly increased the delegation students' expectations of "studying at Sichuan University."

Subsequently, teachers and students from the School of Chemical Engineering and the delegation jointly carried out a Tai Chi experience activity. During the teaching and practice of each move, the Russian teachers and students felt the beauty of rigidity and flexibility in traditional Chinese martial arts, and cross-cultural interaction further heated up in the cultural experience.

After the activity, students from Sichuan University took the delegation for a walk around the campus and had meals together in the cafeteria. A teacher from the Russian delegation smiled and said: "This visit not only let the children understand Sichuan University but also feel the vitality and warmth of Chinese universities." Many students also expressed their hope to have the opportunity to come to Sichuan University again in the future to deeply experience the study and life here.
