After four years of construction, the Meishan Campus of Sichuan University was officially opened! On September 29, the opening ceremony of Sichuan University Meishan Campus was held in Min'e Building. Chen Shuping, Vice Governor of the Provincial Government, Gan Lin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Huang He, Secretary of the Meishan Municipal Party Committee, Wang Binda, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the ceremony, and Chu Liangyin, Executive Vice President, presided over the ceremony.
Huang He said in his speech that the construction of Sichuan University Meishan Campus is a strategic cooperation between the school and the locality, an important milestone in the history of Meishan education, and will provide strong talent and scientific and technological support for the high-quality development of Meishan.
In his speech, Gan Lin expressed his gratitude to the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, the Meishan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, all parties involved in the construction and all the builders who cared about and supported the construction of Meishan Campus. He pointed out that the construction of Meishan Campus is an important measure for the school to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on education, serve the national strategy, expand development space, optimize functional layout, enrich school-running resources, and accelerate the construction of a world-class university. Under the strong deployment and promotion of Sichuan Province, Meishan City has efficiently promoted the construction of the campus and delivered it on schedule in a "turnkey" mode, demonstrating the firm determination of school-local cooperation. The official opening of Meishan Campus marks the opening of a new pattern of integrated schooling of "one school and four districts" in Wangjiang, West China, Jiang'an and Meishan. The school will strive to build Meishan Campus into a new position for deepening reform, cultivating talents, scientific research and innovation, cultural inheritance, international exchanges, and serving the society, and contribute to the great cause of governing Sichuan and rejuvenating Sichuan.
At the ceremony, the guests on the scene pushed the rod together, and the Meishan Campus of Sichuan University was officially opened! Subsequently, the guests visited the State Key Laboratory of Mountain River Protection and Governance, the Meishan Campus Library, and Dongpo Academy to listen to the report on the construction and opening of the building.

The first phase of the Meishan campus project is built according to the "turnkey" project method, with a total construction area of about 340,000 square meters, including more than 20 single buildings such as Dongpo Academy, library, gymnasium, smart water conservancy engineering building, smart energy research building, and new materials research building.
