On November 8, 2025, the first "Democracy Lake Cup" Air Volleyball Invitational Tournament of Chongqing University in 2025 was successfully held at the Chongqing Kongshan Volleyball Stadium. The competition is guided by the Chongqing Volleyball Association, sponsored by the Trade Union Committee of Chongqing University, organized by the Chongqing University Trade Union Faculty and Staff Volleyball Team, and co-organized by Chongqing Kongshan Sports Development Co., Ltd., and 3 education system units including Chongqing University, Chongqing Technology and Business University, Chongqing Jiulongpo District Vocational Education Center, and 3 enterprises including Chongqing Mobile Company, Chongqing Postal Group, and Chongqing Jialing Group were invited to participate. The number of participants in this competition was nearly 100, and the 12 air volleyball teams formed adopted a single round-robin system in the men's group and the mixed group, and launched 30 fierce competitions.

The Chongqing University international student volleyball team was invited to participate in the competition, and sent a total of 5 players, PYAE SONE AUNG (Myanmar), EZEUKA MAKUOCHUKWU NELSON (Nigeria), KEOPHOUVONG PHOUMIXAY (Laos), VOLABOUTH ANOUSONE (Laos), and PHANSRI NADTHAPHONG (Thailand) to participate in the men's competition. Students and high-level air volleyball teams from various enterprises competed.

EZEUKA MAKUOCHUKWU NELSON, as the main attacker, became a "superstar" who exclaimed with the audience's powerful jump serve, super high bounce, and super hand smash; PYAE SONE AUNG, as the captain, organizes the whole team on the field according to the rapidly changing game conditions, not only defends tenaciously, adjusts the attack accurately, but is also a heavy gunner; KEOPHOUVONG PHOUMIXAY is not only a setter, but also a fastball player born in the "secondary attack", the cover or fast break sneak attack in the third position, which makes everyone admire the speed of playing air volleyball; VOLABOUTH ANOUSONE's "silky" setter technique allows the team to organize an attack and always shake off the opponent's blocking judgment; As a dexterous attacker, PHANSRI NADTHAPHONG is always able to score points with clever hits and strong attacks. Under the command and dispatch of head coach Shi Dezhi, the whole team cooperated tacitly, both offensively and defensively, and carried out fierce competitions with various strong teams, and finally broke through the siege and won the third place in the men's group.
