On October 10, the school held a donation signing ceremony for Shaanxi Huaqin Technology Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huaqin Technology). On the occasion of the 87th anniversary of the founding of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Huaqin Technology donated 100 million yuan to the school to support the construction of the school's young talent team and the development of materials disciplines. Li Yanrong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, and Zhe Shengyang, chairman of Huaqin Technology and 1977 alumnus of the School of Materials of our school, attended the donation ceremony and delivered speeches. Professor Zhou Wancheng, Chief Scientist of Huaqin Technology and School of Materials, and Zhang Kaifu, Vice President of the School of Materials, attended the donation ceremony. At the ceremony, Zhang Kaifu reviewed the donation process of Huaqin Technology and Zhe Shengyang alumni. According to incomplete statistics, since 2011, Zhe Shengyang, Huaqin Technology, and Xi'an BLIT Additive Technology Co., Ltd. have donated funds and physical items worth more than 70 million yuan to the school, which has strongly supported the school's talent introduction, teacher construction, talent training, college development and alumni innovation and entrepreneurship.
Subsequently, Zhang Kaifu and Zhe Shengyang signed a donation agreement on behalf of both parties.
