At the 2nd China-New Zealand Education Development Forum, Yuan Yufeng combined the cooperation experience between Wuhan University and New Zealand universities and put forward three suggestions on promoting China-New Zealand higher education cooperation: strengthening connotation construction, highlighting scientific research collaboration, and deepening people-to-people exchanges.

During the meeting, Yuan Yufeng held talks with Sarah Young, Executive Vice President of the University of Auckland in New Zealand, and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two universities.
