Today (October 12), Tongji University initiated the first National Forum of Party Committee Secretaries of Automotive Colleges in Colleges and Universities, and the "Digital Intelligence Innovation Green Future" Intelligent Electric Vehicle Integration Education Alliance was established, and more than 100 party secretaries, experts, scholars, and party branch secretaries from more than 30 automotive colleges and universities across the country gathered at the Jiading Campus of Tongji University to discuss a new path for first-class party building to lead the high-quality development of intelligent electric vehicle disciplines.

Zheng Qinghua said that the School of Automobile is a typical representative of Tongji University's first-class party building leading to ensure the high-quality development of disciplines, and the feeling of strengthening the country has always been the spiritual gene and cultural root of the discipline to forge ahead. It is expected that all parties will carry out in-depth dialogue on talent training, scientific research and industrial transformation of intelligent electric vehicles, build consensus, and jointly explore a new path of integration of science and education and industry and education under the guidance of party building.
Liu Xinyan said that as a strategic emerging industry integrating multidisciplinary technologies such as machinery, electronics, information, artificial intelligence, and new materials, the development level of intelligent electric vehicles is related to the core competitiveness of a country's manufacturing industry and has become an important area of international games. It is hoped that the automobile colleges of colleges and universities across the country will not only cultivate talents with excellent professionalism and urgently needed for industry development, but also create talents with excellent political literacy and both ability and integrity, so as to provide talent support for the construction of an automobile power.
Hou Fushen said that the next 5 to 10 years will be a critical period for China to accelerate the construction of an automobile power. It is hoped that the automobile colleges of colleges and universities across the country will transform the greatest advantage of the party's leadership into the greatest driving force for the high-quality development of automobile talent education in colleges and universities with a high sense of political responsibility and historical mission, and take the construction of intelligent electric vehicle disciplines as the starting point to provide more solid support and guarantee for consolidating and enhancing the leading edge of China's intelligent networked new energy vehicles.
At the forum, Tongji University initiated the establishment of the "Digital Intelligence Innovation Green Future" Intelligent Electric Vehicle Integration Education Alliance to promote mutual learning, complementary advantages, and resource exchange among automobile colleges and universities across the country, jointly build a new ecology of cross-school linkage and multi-party collaboration, and create a large ideological and political education pattern with the characteristics of the automotive industry.
Tongji University and the Equipment Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement, and the two sides will focus on the frontier fields of future industries such as artificial intelligence, new energy vehicles, low-altitude equipment, intelligent manufacturing, robots, and industrial machine tools, deepen collaborative innovation between government, industry, academia, research and application, and work together to inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.
The two sides will jointly build a full-chain achievement transformation system by building an automobile industry technology map database and jointly carrying out customized incubation with car companies and investment and financing institutions, and empower the forward-looking layout of discipline construction with industry ecology.
At the forum, the "Discipline Pilot" micro-party class of "Memory of the Times of Struggle and Transcendence" was released, telling the footprints of the struggle of generations of Tongji Automobile people to overcome difficulties, leading teachers and students to closely link their life choices with the Chinese dream and the automobile dream.
In the keynote report session, three experts and professors focused on the development of new quality productivity under the changes in the world economy, how ideology and politics in the era of digital intelligence empower the cultivation of innovative talents, and led the high-quality development of intelligent electric vehicles with first-class party building, and shared their thoughts and practices.
In the afternoon, automotive colleges from Tsinghua University, Jilin University, Wuhan University of Technology, Chang'an University and other universities, as well as cooperative enterprises such as Weichai Group, shared their practical experience in how to lead construction and development with party building. The two parallel sub-forums were held at the same time, and the participants discussed and exchanged views on two topics: "high-quality party building leads to ensure the high-quality development of intelligent electric vehicle disciplines" and "high-quality party building leads to ensure the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in the automotive field".
The handover ceremony was completed at the closing ceremony of the forum, and Tsinghua University will host the next forum.
During the forum, the guests visited the School of Automobiles of Tongji University, the Shanghai Ground Transportation Wind Tunnel Center, the Automotive Science and Technology Innovation Practice Base of Tongji University Students, and the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Testing and Evaluation Base.
